My sister in law got married at the end of the summer, and announced yesterday that she is pregnant, so she clearly got pregnant on her wedding night (or right before, I guess.) She told my husband in advance (a few hours earlier), but he didn't tell me, so I found out when I opened my whatsapp while at the ice cream store with my kids and saw a picture of a sonogram. I am very angry at him, because this was an incredibly painful way for me to find out. He said that I don't like it when people act weird around me about this stuff, so he figured it was fine, but I told him that his job is to protect me and while I am not angry at her, I am angry at him for not being thoughtful enough to realize this would hurt me, and to tell me in a different way. As we all know, it's so hard when people get pregnant right away, and also when we found out through a very public announcement. But I'm also really hurt because it made me feel like he doesn't understand what this is like for me at all, after seven years, and nine pregnancies that never turned into babies I got to hold. We got into the biggest fight we've ever had in our ten years together, and I'm finding it hard to even talk to him right now. He's an incredibly kind person, but he has AuDHD and therefore isn't very emotionally intuitive. (My two year old asked me why I was crying, so perhaps there is hope for the men of the next generation.) It is totally possible that I am being unreasonable, which I acknowledge, but I just feel like he isn't experiencing any of the trauma that I am, and it makes me feel so alone. If people have advise, I am open to it, but mostly I am looking to vent and commiserate.

**TL;DR:** Mainland Dubai client hasn’t paid my invoice, only promises payment verbally, and his trade licence turns out to be expired. What are my next steps? I have a Dubai free zone company and work within my licensed activities. My company is very new, but I have all my documents in order. Since September, I’ve been doing part-time work for a mainland Dubai LLC with a single owner. We have a signed proposal covering scope, hours, fees, and payment terms, and it states that if an invoice isn’t paid within 10 days, work pauses until it’s paid. So let me start by saying that I’m not against having kids. But my partner and I have been together for just 2 years and doing long distance half the year. The reason that we are long distance is because he does seasonal work. He works for 7 months out of the year and 5 months not. He earns ok but not insane. In other 5 months he gets some unemployment. I recently finished season three of helluva and I gotta say, I finnaly understand all the haters on it and especially on stolas. I just finished my first colorwork project. The intent of it was to be practice, so I'm not super upset that I got it doesn't look great- but I don't really know what I did wrong. I did get the color dominance wrong, I know that much- I held the blue closer to me rather than the white- but I don't get why the texture is off. It puckers usually whenever there's a color change from blue to white.  I did buy two worsted weight yarns, but from different brands, and one yarn (the blue) is ever so slightly thicker than the other, so that could be contributing. I did my best to keep the floats a good tension, not too tight and not too loose, but trying doesn't mean succeeding. I also tried my hardest to keep my blue yarn a little bit lighter of a tension once I noticed the problems that started occurring.  Any advice for how I can knit colorwork, especially in the round, to get a flatter knit surface, would be very appreciated!

As I'm sure everyone here knows, in standard New Game Plus modes, you start the whole game again, carrying over some or all of your inventory, levels, equipment, skills, etc., so you're starting a new game all powered up. Recently, I have been playing Starfield for the first time, and have been having a great time. I just entered New Game Plus. Starfield has the traditional New Game Plus stuff, but it also has a little extra 'flavour' for lack of a better word. If you haven't played Starfield, you play as a Miner who joins an organisation of interstellar explorers and Scientists called Constellation after finding a mysterious artifact of unknown origin. Eventually you cross paths with beings called 'Starborn' who are also searching for the Artifacts, and the game follows that conflict, as well as discovering the mystery of the artifacts. The Artifacts are used >!to build something called The Armillary!< which allows you to >!access something called The Unity!< which is >!a gateway to the multiverse, when you go through it, you're reborn in the next universe as one of those Starborn!< . This is where New Game Plus comes in, baked in as part of the lore. Essentially each New Game Plus is a separate >!universe!< . You can use your prior knowledge to skip the story entirely, or if you choose to repeat the story, and you have access to special dialogue options that speed quests up or even skip sections entirely. You can even use your prior knowledge to >!save a companion who died on your previous playthrough!< Starfield is the first game I recall playing that has New Game Plus have an in-universe explanation, and even allow you to use prior knowledge implemented directly into the game. So are there any other games that implement New Game Plus in an interesting or unique way like this? I don't mean something like 'Hades' where dying and resurrection are part of the game play loop and the story.

I can’t believe that tomorrow marks a week since Head Trip. I’m trying to wrap my head around why this feels so different. I think for a lot of people this signifies ending in their life and stepping into a new beginning. I am super blessed to have experienced this. I’m looking at back at videos and listening to songs and I’m wondering if I’m ever gonna experience anything like that again. I went with my boyfriend‘s friends and one of them is having a baby next month so this was like his last hurrah and I think that’s also affecting how we’re perceiving this event. Overall, the feeling is so immense that I would just love for everyone to share some of their favorite parts of the festival that will stick with them forever. Binged all eight episodes of S4 and as usual had burning questions about the narrative. 1) Kate’s acid reflux. Callum’s baggie condom was a red herring in S3. So it looks like Kate might really be pregnant in S4 (identity of baby daddy up for debate). But yet it was only explained as simple reflux. I don’t like how the show writers include what looks like really significant things only for that storyline to go poof without proper closure later. It really makes the narrative look messy and distracted. 2) What also stood out to me was that brief moment between Nicol and Lydia Trowbridge where she admitted she had some intimate moments with Dennison that were basically cheating. There didn’t seem to be much follow-up after that about this bombshell reveal (for the erstwhile Brit PM anyway). He seems to also know Kate and Dennison had a thing. So why did he sit on this information till now? Saying Dennison had a way with the ladies just made Austin Dennison seem so sleazy and unprofessional when he was portrayed in previous seasons as a gentleman. And it was never explained why Dennison told Kate it was a bad time to have sex after kissing. Is that also a move he pulled with Lydia Trowbridge to keep people on the hook? 3) Trowbridge starts hallucinating that Roylin is alive and was wracked with guilt that he sent Dennison to India. What was that about? And why was it never explained why Roylin was picked to carry out a covert false flag attack?

So I'm taking the psat and sat pretty soon. I've generally been a pretty good student (good grades, honors, aps, etc). On the psat 9 and 10 i got the equivalent to a 1200-1300 on the sat (below my goal for the sat, but a decent place to build from). When I do Khan academy practice questions I get pretty much every one right. But as soon as i do a practice pdf SAT from the collegeboard I get really bad scores (1000-1100). So I (26F) went on a few dates with a guy (25M) a few weeks back and it felt like we were vibing together and having a good time. The focus of the game is primarily geo politics and war with deep systems around supply chains, civics, trading, and trust/political will. Wars can start out as simple as a unit crossing a border (border conflict) and escalate as more nations, alliances, and multi-nation coalitions get involved to a conflict (fighting) -> open war (war declarations between a few) -> regional war (war mostly focuses in one geo with 4ish nations) -> to a full scale world war (spanning several nations, coalitions, countinents). We also aim to be less micro manage-y then late stage turn based games offering many chances for automation such as supports for "theatres of war" where you command units of all types as a general, set the stance, targets, and war front, but let AI manage the turn to turn tactics. I have a chronic, treatment resistant dust mite allergy. I am able to keep it at bay for the most part by avoiding the allergen as much as possible and using a cortisone nose spray daily. But sometimes it becomes inflamed anyway and starts looking puffier and less defined. Any tips on how to combat this? Also I have hollowness under my eyes. Does Volufiline actually work? I was thinking of getting Nucleofill undereye treatments. Are those promising? What is your general concesus on Nucleofill for the face? Thank you!

Hi! My twins are four months old and I'm trying to find a set-up that works for us. I'm a single parent, there is no other caregiver at all and we spend most of our time alone, just the three of us. Language A (community language, but they won't start daycare until they are two years old so they need to pick it up at home before then to be able to communicate with friends and family, also my native language) Language B - English (not a community language and not my native language, I'm fluent, though I do have an accent when speaking which has been getting worse since I've been on maternity leave with fewer people to talk to) Language C (not a priority but I would like to at least introduce it in some way) I was speaking to them in language A because it felt most natural to me, and easiest to bond with them since it's my native language. The problem is that they absolutely NEED to know English, we're around too many people who don't understand language A. I've recently switched to speaking English when we are alone and A when we are around other people, except the people who don't understand A. Is that a reasonable way to split the languages long-term? It's not exactly intuitive... I'm so lost. I don't even want to think about language C. I just want these kids to be able to understand family and friends when they talk to them. :')

I'm from Winnipeg and go to University of Manitoba, in my 2nd year while 3.5 years behind my peers. I'm still deciding on what to do exactly. My first year I've struggled due to my ADHD and couldn't apply into my desire program, business school. I messed up and ended up with a 2.6 gpa. My parent's told me this is my last semester before they'll make me drop out of uni, go to trade school and stop financially supporting me. This summer, I've met these two sister's from Montreal in another city who both go to Concordia University. They were telling how amazing it is here, the university and how I could start all over again, and apply as an independent student as I would love it there and that there's many students who also start uni later in their 20s. I'm seriously considering applying to Concordia in Winter '27 as I would love to live in a new city away from my hometown, become independent, start all over again, and take university seriously. However, I unfortunately don't speak French at all, so I could get approved of student loans, however, I have no idea how I would afford the monthly cost of living as many jobs in Montreal even in the downtown area that speaks English requires French as well. To those who go to Concordia University and are also in the same or similar situation as I, is this a highly naive and unrealistic idea to move to Montreal for Concordia University alone while financially supporting myself for the first time?

I had resisted the urge to get into wearables for a long time, until I was temporarily given an Oura ring while participating in a health study. I was impressed how far the tech had come, but was not impressed by the idea of paying a subscription. Since I already had a Samsung phone, I found a cheap used Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm in amazingly good condition and used that for a while. I was happy with it. I later upgraded to a Galaxy Watch 7 44mm. It's been great. Compared to my Watch 4 Classic it had a new CPU, new Sensors, a bigger screen, and was just better overall. I was very happy. Then I got a Galaxy Ring to compliment my Watch 7. I used them together. The redundancy was fantastic. I loved being able to take my Watch off while charging, during wet conditions, or any time I just wanted to give my wrist a rest, even for extended periods of time, without worrying about losing any health tracking info. I was very enthusiastic about Samsung wearables at this point. I even got a Galaxy Fit 3, even though I really didn't need it, just to experiment and play with, and as a further backup for my main Watch. Unfortunately it's been all downhill since then... The Watch 8 launch was a huge flop (for me at least). The exact same hardware that was already in my Watch 7, repackaged into a fugly square-circle format and using proprietary bands (as opposed to the standard interchangeable bands that both my Watch 4 Classic and Watch 7 use). Even though I could justify the cost of a new Watch, as a Watch 7 owner there wasn't a single reason for me to get a Watch 8. Then my Galaxy Ring died after only a year, despite me doing everything possible to baby that battery from Day 1. I never let the battery hit 0%, ever. I almost never charged it all the way to 100%. It still died. Massively de-motivational. That entire year, I never even got a scratch on my ring... but it's a useless novelty ornament now. Then the Watch 9 launch... I'm not sure what the thought process was here. The biggest downside of the Watch 7 and 8 is the extremely mediocre battery life. The W1000 CPU in those Watches was already fine. But the Watch 9 upgrades the CPU that didn't really need to be upgraded, and actually made the battery life worse in the process? Who honestly thought that would be a good idea? Also still using the same Sensors as the Watch 7/8, the same fugly square-circle design and lame bands as the 8. Another dud. I'm trying to remain enthusiastic about a potential Galaxy Ring 2, but it's been dead silence from Samsung. And if they do eventually release one, is it going to be another $400 ring that dies after one year? OK, how about at least the Fit 4? The Fit 3 has been one device that has truly exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I can definitely muster up some excitement about a Fit 4. But like with the Galaxy Ring, there has been basically zero news about the Fit 4 aside from an FCC filing that makes it seem like it will be a very very minor refresh of the Fit 3 (lame). I'm the kind of person who can easily justify upgrading my Wearables every year if there is actually something exciting or interesting about them to justify the purchase. Instead, I'm sitting here, still using my aging Watch 7, staring at my dead Galaxy Ring sitting on my desk, and seemingly nothing exciting on the horizon either. What am I missing? **What still has you excited when it comes to Samsung Wearables?** I'd love to once again capture that excitement I had after I upgraded to my Watch 7, when my Ring still worked. But that sort of requires Samsung to release products that don't suck, don't die after a year, and are meaningful upgrades (and especially not downgrades) over older models.

So i havent really played rainbow in a few years at this point and decided to hop on with my friends to play ranked until i got a rank. I got put into copper and am trying to rank up to play with them again. But no matter what happens in game it feels like the second we go more then 1 point down half of the team just disconnects. Is there any way to get around this or is it just a problem in general

I also don’t want to confront anyone over something that might just be in my head. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you distance yourself, talk to your friends, or just accept that friendships change?

I've been looking for mods for True Football National Manager online recently. But I haven't found any mods made by anyone from Europe. Is there anyone here who is good at modding TFNM? For context, I've been drawing for over a decade (and really even before that, if you count all of the drawing I did before I ever moved over to doing digital art) off and on, and it's always been something I enjoyed! Even more, I've always had an intense passion for the visual arts in general (I literally spend hours per day browsing Twitter and Pinterest and Pixiv etc. and looking at art just because I like to) Yet, people always assume that I have no artistic experience and the reason why I like AI art (and call myself an AI artist) is simply because of lack of skill, or lack of effort, or because I dislike drawing. But none of that is true! I would say I am a pretty intermediately skilled traditional artist. I enjoy putting effort into artwork, I put tons of effort even into AI artwork. I literally enjoy the process of creating art, no matter what method is used. Whether it's 3D modelling, or drawing in Clip Studio Paint with my tablet, or doodling on an envelop, or coloring in line art, or making vector art pieces in Illustrator, or training LoRAs to use in ComfyUI, or generating AI artwork - I enjoy almost every kind of visual art production that there is! Not to say that every person who *is* an AI artist has to be a traditional artist as well. But my point is that not everybody fits into neat little boxes that you want them to fit into! I am a traditional artist and I use AI tools because 1. I like to stay up to date with new technologies, and I would rather learn now than regret it later when I have to catch up and 2. It helps me bring quick doodles to life much faster, so I don't have to invest so much time into little comics, memes, or whatever else. I would rather be spending that time on my actual pieces! And that doesn't make somebody a traitor to art. It's likely that my art is a part of what was used for AI training, but I don't resent that fact! Actually, many of my Pro-AI friends for one reason or another could not enjoy expressing their creativity in the same way as I can before AI, and I wholly support more people being able to bring their imagination to life with new tools. So don't assume that just because somebody is Pro-AI art, or thinks that AI art is real art, that they are some newcomer to the visual arts with no prior experience!!!

This is the way to unwind after a long day. It's a little warm, but worth it. Cheers my fellow enthusiasts.
