Posted this in chubby travel but curious to hear other thoughts.. We're planning our first trip to Bora Bora this January, only to realize that Four Seasons has major renovations planned during our stay. The main infinity pool, main beach, Fare Hoa Beach Bar, and Tere Nui restaurant will all be closed. They'll be offering an alternative Villa Beach Club with two pools (including an adults-only pool), beach access, and dining service. We're planning to stay in an overwater bungalow and honestly aren't too concerned about not having access to the main pool. Our bigger concern is construction noise and whether it will take away from the overall experience. The resort said they'll place us as far away from the construction as possible, but understandably can't guarantee we won't hear anything. Since this is our first time in Bora Bora, we have no sense of how far the overwater bungalows are from the construction area or how much noise might carry. Has anyone stayed at Four Seasons Bora Bora during previous renovations, or have any insight into how disruptive this might be? Would you still go? also to add, from our previous experience at Maldives (Soneva Jani and St.R) we never really used the main pool (i cant remember if there was one at Soneva honestly) and only once used the main breach at Soneva. Most advices so far said to cancel but just trying to understand why.. looking at the map of the property, also it seems that the main beach/pool are somewhat isolated? again, just trying to understand if I am underestimating the whole thing and this would really ruin our trip. Thanks in advance appreciate the thoughts [](https://www.reddit.com/submit/?source_id=t3_1x0zq3v&composer_entry=crosspost_prompt)

Been playing hold em for years, mainly online. Just recently started playing PLO online 25$ buy in. I checked some preflop strategy at every position so i think i hava good idea of a good pre hand and a bad one relative to position. With that being said, i end up with a 17-20 % vpip at the MOST playing how ive been, andthat includes some occasional less than ideal calls. At hold em i generally get to about 25-28 vpip when the table is loose pre and 30-34 when the table is tight. How can i add more hands to my preflop raise? Should I even? Rn Ive been raising aces and kings (though i now early position some of those arent even proper UTG raises) all ds 0g and 1g, most 0g, and try to get in suited aces when i can. and thats basically it. A hand like AK65 single suit with a suited ace, or like 7s 6s 3d2c, should these hands be called in the sb or bb? Raised in a position like CO? Thanks If someone has somethin they can link to better my understanding of preflop calling, raising, or 3bet ranges thatd be great

I have been recently able to play basketball 2K27 and I thought if here are people who play too. Would be nice to play together and also easier to understand if someone can’t play.

I just started playing pokemon go in April and this is my first season of GBL. My record so far is 431-442 and my rating is around 1600. I feel like I am so far behind most players because of my limited viable pokemon and am basically just a punching bag for better players. Today I only won 9 games. I really wanted to try to reach Ace my first season, but I am falling too far below .500 to achieve that now so I am considering just starting to throw to lower my rating so I can at least get some rewards. Is this a good idea or am I being too hard on myself?

Why are so many of us so uncomfortable with interracial couples? I only know the things I’ve heard but I thought I’d cast a wider net. \-Have you/do you date(d) non-black people? Do you have a specific racial type? \-Do you prefer dating strictly other black people? Why?

I’m listening to the Deathly Hallows full-cast audiobook, and noticed that there a brief moments (usually no more than a few syllables at a time) when Voldemort’s voice almost sounds like Jaxon Knopf, but only when speaking in Harry’s visions. I’m wondering if they blended or cut between Knopf and Matthew MacFadyen reading Voldemort’s lines for these scenes, to signify that Voldemort’s words are being spoken unconsciously by Harry while he’s in the trance, as is occasionally described as happening. If so, it’s a cool and subtle detail. I’m not entirely sure I’m not just imagining it. Have you noticed this?

A year ago ( 2025 ) i had a sudden pain ( for the first time ) and i didn't know what it was so i only took antibiotics and a mouth wash ( the pharmacist preserib them to me ) , but i remembered that the inside of a nut shell ( the thin part ) did that to me years ago (2018) and left a white mark on my premolar , i went to the dentist last week after the pain happen again the previous week , he checked the tooth removed the decay and sealed it until next appointment , when i get back he went straight and filled it , he didn't check or did x ray to check if what my description about my pain means the nerve is inflamed or somthing else , he told me to get back if the pain goes back , do you think what he said is legit or should i go and check another dentiste ? btw the pain is light and near my nose i feel like a pillow kind it bounce back with a little discomfort , im currently trying not to chew on hard things , just eating soft food .

I can't be the only one getting a *The Sims 4* vibe from all this, right? I already wasn't a big fan of the game's original price model: $70 base game ($60 on Nintendo Switch), day-one Digital Deluxe edition for $90 ($80 on Nintendo Switch), day-one Season Pass for $30, six individual DLC packs for $6 each. But with Season Pass Two, the pricing model and what you get have just gotten a lot more complex and a lot less consistent. You probably already know this, but the base game has dropped to $40 (price is now consistent on Switch 1 and Switch 2), and the Digital Deluxe Year One edition has dropped to $60. What gets me is how there are now **TWO** Digital Deluxe editions, both being $60, and both including a different Season Pass and Digital Deluxe bonus. If you get one and want the other's, you have to buy that year's Season Pass. There is no complete set. To get everything, you have to spend a minimum of $90. Of course, if you don't want everything, you still have the option of buying individual DLC packs at $6 apiece, but even then that introduces a fairly predatory layer of punishing indecisiveness. If you decide later you want the rest of the DLC or the bonus content, after purchasing a pack or two, the money you spent purchasing individual packs is wasted. While some may argue that it respects player choice by letting players pick what they want, it's still fairly scummy to just add paid DLC after paid DLC after paid DLC, not unlike an EA game. Of course, that all pales in comparison to the price drop being a fairly substantial $30, so they actually *rewarded* indecisiveness and punished early adoption by basically making DD1+SP2 or DD2+SP1 the same price as the original Digital Deluxe. While it's nice that new players can get into the game at a much more attractive price (which, I'll be honest, is much better-suited for the amount of content in the base game), they are not offering early adopters anything as compensation and thanks for supporting them at full (or original discounted) price. They're just asking you to continue spending money to add more piecemeal content to your copy of a live-service platform.

Hello guys, I am new to r/typing. I will be totally honest that I am not code savvy and it has been a new and humbling experience. I do have passion for creating tools/games that people may find it useful or just have fun with it. So I've been building Typoclysm, a free typing game (no account needed to try/play): [typoclysm.com](http://typoclysm.com) What's in it: * Ranked 1v1 races with ELO, tiers from Bronze to Immortal (this one does need a free acc) * Ghost races against real players' recorded runs * Missile Defense: an arcade mode where you type the word on each missile before it hits * Daily Challenges, lessons, and drills built from your weakest keys Score is WPM x accuracy², so accuracy matters a lot. There's also a Strict mode where the cursor won't move past a wrong key. What I'd most like to know from this sub: 1. Does the race text feel right (punctuation, capitals, word choice)? 2. Does the scoring feel fair at high WPM? 3. What would make you come back tomorrow? It's desktop-only for now. Happy to answer anything. Thank you for your time.

hi is this a cold sore?

While both are growing up with short form content, I'm curious to see if current elementary schoolers are doing any better than the ones who's early education were most affected by Covid. I'm working in a school this year for the first time with 4th grade, and while they still have issues with literacy, the bits I've heard from the middle school side make it sound like they're struggling even more. We also just had the book fair, and while 4th grade was hyped (a student I didn't even expect to be into reading for fun got a ya novel and started a book club with another student), the older grades didn't really seem to care.

Hello!! So as the title above states, I am looking to collaborate with someone to make our own JoJo's part!! I have recently started watching the show and am on Part 3 (I know about spoilers and whatnot) and absolutely LOVE the power system with Stands and all that!! Alright, so what I am SPECIFICALLY looking for, is someone who could play as a Female and who can also make their character the Joestar of the story!! As I am looking for a romance angle as well, how that ties in will be a Slow-Burn story of redemption of sorts, my main character I'll be playing will be the first major villain to show up (To kinda keep with the JoBro being a villain before trend) Of course there will be SO much more story than just the romance and my character being the first villain, but I figured I'd put that out just to get my initial idea out!! As for your character, I do not care what gender you are IRL, that doesn't concern me, and also you are not only limited to play as that character as we can make multiple characters so long as it makes sense to the story!! Unfortunately there will be no recurring characters as this would essentially be our own Part 10 or 11 🤣🤣 Anyways, if I have caught your interest which I REALLY hope I have, don't hesitate to reach out!! I ask that you have Discord and that you are 18+ and actually show some life in your messages!! As talking with someone who shows no life is quite discouraging haha But yeah, also just so I know you read this let me know your favorite character!! (Even though we KNOW it's the goat Dio!!) I hope you all have an amazing day and hope to speak with you soon!!

It is a common misconception in Zen that because physical objects manifest in front of us, they prove an independent, objective reality. This may seem confusing, but Zen masters such as Huangbo, Mazu, and Dahui did not deny the physical world, only it's objectivity. What happens in argument is a confusion about the difference in form with separation in substance. The substance of a ham sandwich is Mind, which is also the same substance of all reality. Reality is a single whole, and there is only one reality, which is Mind. #Huangbo --- "...All the Buddhas and all the sentient beings are nothing but the One Mind, beside which nothing exists. This Mind, which is wihtout beginning, is unborn, indestructible, and transcends all forms, measures, and comparisons. It is that which you see before you; begin to reason about it and you at once fall into error.." "Phenomena are identical with Mind, and Mind is identical with phenomena." #Mazu --- "All mountains, rivers, and the great earth are nothing but your own Mind. Outside of Mind, there is no other thing. #Linji --- "There is no dharma outside the Mind, and even inside, there is nothing to be grasped. What are you looking for?" #Shitou --- "Within sameness there is difference; within difference there is sameness." "In the world of senses, there is inherent unity; but unity is not a collection of separate parts." --- This ties in directly with what is referred to as dualism. It's important to note that Tang and Song era masters did not define dualism in a dictionary or textbook somewhere. They mapped it as a cognitive error; as what happens when you slice up the One Mind into parts like "me" and "the world" (or ham sammiches and water faucets). Terms like "One Mind" were specifically used to show that while forms are distinct, their underlying reality (substance) is a non-dual whole. The Lamp and the Light are of a single substance.

I noticed her legs looked kind of lumpy. I think this is scaly leg mites, but would it only affect one chick out of the brood and mama? Could it be that they have it also but it hasn’t progressed noticeably? There was a bit of an ant problem in the coop that was dealt with today. Could it be ant bites? Also is her toe broken? It moved when I touched it, but it is at a weird angle. Healed maybe?

Was just playing against the 3-12 Dolphins in my franchise season. Somehow with 5mins left in the 4th quarter I found myself down 10-0. I couldn’t move the ball for shit all game and fumbled twice. Then suddenly I was able to go 72yds in 2 plays. Got stops on defense… and with 45sec left I was trying to get the ball back and instead returned a pick for 6 to go up 21-17 So what happened? The Dolphins marched downfield. I could no longer stop them. And scored as time expired. The game rubber bands like crazy and there is no way to turn it off. It let me come back. Then let them score. Only to let me score again…. So they could score at the end. Id have rather lost by 21
