I’m planning to use one of those kits online and tap into this connector above my rear view mirror for my radar detector. Does anyone know what wires I can get power and ground from in a 2010? Preferably only when the key is on.

I'm moving into a house that has no extractor fan above a double oven. The oven/hob is against an interior wall and not anywhere near an external wall so adding a vent for a hood will be difficult. I know you can get filter extractors but they don't get rid of moisture. What other options are there please? Would adding an extractor fan to the wall like a bathroom fan work the same?? The house is timber frame, allbeit a modern one so I don't want to be making holes in the walls unnecessarily. Thank you

I was interviewing for a VP level tech role and the recruiter gave me an offer but for a senior level role instead because the team felt I didn't match their qualifications for the VP level. Meanwhile, another recruiter at the same company wants me to interview for a VP role in a different team. I'd have to start the interview process over, but the recruiter says there could be other roles for me if it doesn't work out. I'm very blessed that I currently have a contract job, so I'm not in an urgent rush to accept the original offer due to money. But I am trying to transition to a full time opportunity sooner than later. Any advice on how to best approach this? Would you just accept the original offer because it's at least a guaranteed full time job, even though it's a title/salary downgrade? Or would you try to negotiate with the recruiter to reconsider me for the VP level since I’m interviewing for other internal VP opportunities? Or reject the offer and see where the other opportunity may lead?

I'm a current college freshman and am wondering what I should focus on if I want to get hired as a lab assistant. Context: I'm trying to get any lab position in an astronomy/physics/optics related lab. I am not picky. Ideally I would work in interferometery or cosmology but I do not have the math background to do theory nor do I have the optics knowledge to do any interferometery work. For now my ideal position would be an observational astronomy lab like a near infrared lab or something like that. I have found PIs with specific grants that I might be interested in but they are not taking undergrads - I've already cold emailed them. My university is not a T20 or competitive university in the slightest, but my resume is admittedly pretty bad. In high school I had no idea what I wanted to do in college, so I'm very much lacking in the research-specific background. I'm currently reading a textbook about machine learning and using astroML in research, but getting through the textbook will take me a long time. Finally, since I'm graduating in 3 years, I really feel the time pressure of getting into research quick, since I have effectively one less year than everyone else to do all my publications and preparations for grad school.

Each agent needs its own isolated checkout, each can stop silently while it waits for approval or an answer, and there is no single place to see which agent is working, stuck or finished. In practice people juggle a couple of terminal tabs and fall back to one task at a time. **The idea** A local terminal UI (single binary, `flightdeck`) that turns each task into an isolated git worktree with its own agent session and shows all of them in one status board. You paste in a task (or point it at an issue), it creates a branch + worktree, launches the agent there, and streams a one-line status per agent: RUNNING / NEEDS YOU / DONE / FAILED. Apologies if it’s been addressed before.. but I’m having a hard time understanding why Amy feels like she can’t take the time needed in LA to get her skin removal surgery. You explore the wonderfully calm island and encounter a variety of pokemon, to your surprise for a fighting type heavy island there are a lot of flying types. **Reward:** \- You find a mix of flying and fighting type pokemon and you can catch two (I recommend a flying type if you don’t already have one)

Hallo liebe Community, ich bin am Donnerstag spontan meine ersten 21 km gelaufen. Bin ziemlich happy, dass ich das geschafft habe, und frage mich jetzt ein bisschen, wie ich weitermachen soll. Der Lauf an sich hat sich gut angefühlt, auch wenn ich ab Kilometer 17 echt mit den Beinen kämpfen musste. Von der Luft her war die Pace gut machbar, aber die Beine wollten zum Ende hin nicht mehr so richtig. Kurz zu mir: Ich bin 33, dreifacher Familienvater und noch gar nicht so richtig im Lauf-Game angekommen. Seit Juni laufe ich mehr oder weniger regelmäßig ein- bis zweimal die Woche, meistens zwischen 5 und 10 km. Meine Pace liegt dabei je nach Tagesgefühl zwischen 4:30 und 6:00 min/km. Dazu kommt einmal pro Woche Handball. PR 5Km: 22:32 4:30/km Bisher laufe ich einfach nach Lust und Gefühl, ohne wirklichen Plan. Wäre es sinnvoll, etwas kontrollierter zu trainieren und regelmäßig längere, ruhigere Läufe einzubauen? Wie habt ihr nach euren ersten 21 km weitergemacht? Erstmal freue ich mich einfach, dass ich den Lauf gemacht und geschafft habe. Das war echt gut fürs eigene Gefühl. Jetzt bin ich aber neugierig, was darauf noch aufbauen könnte.

You’re not the type of person that would let go of it that easily, why are you letting go so easily?” Then I’ll start getting upset again and I can never tell if I’m upset because I’m genuinely not over the situation, or if I’m upset because I feel like I should be. On September 12, Anthropic’s CEO published an essay calling for the industry to pace the frontier, and wrote that the most effective method is regulation that targets all US frontier AI companies, covering even those unwilling to cooperate voluntarily. In April, 13 percent. In August, 56 percent. Open weights ran a majority of production tokens for the first time, while accounting for only 14 percent of spend. DeepSeek alone was 22.6 percent of gateway tokens in June, within two points of Google. These are products misbehaving in ways the manufacturer failed to contain. Fraud, deepfakes, cyber intrusions, agents escaping the sandbox. Those are product safety problems. Serious ones. Boring ones. Solvable ones. The Treasury Secretary put the Hugging Face breach on OpenAI’s management, not on the agents. That is exactly right. It is humans who are responsible, not the AI. Ship something that hurts people, and face the consequences in court. Insure against it. Price it in. Compete on it. That is how it works for Boeing, for Pfizer, for Ford, and for every company that ever put a dangerous thing into the world and had to stand behind it. The doomers will not slow this down. AI is not going to kill a billion people. And the companies telling you otherwise just asked to be exempt from the consequences if it did.

After reading EasyPeasy, I found it difficult to really remove the aspect of the brainwashing that views PMO as “good”. Sure I could understand the negative effects, I could understand that there were certainly no positive effects, but there was still some part of me that \*wanted\* to PMO. For whatever reason, I found it very difficult to shake off this part of me, and ended up, not relapsing, but peeking and MOing afterward having closed it. I didn’t understand what brought me to doing that, other than there still being a part of me that wanted to do it. I read the “relapse” section of the book countless times, as well as the “just one peek” part, obviously. The analogy with bleach, from “Meditations of a Porn Addict” never sat right with me, maybe because it seemed too absurd and unbelievable. There can be no enjoyment in drinking bleach, right? I get that the metaphor is that there isn’t any enjoyment in porn either, but the thing is that there IS enjoyment in it. You do feel pleasure, dopamine is released and, even though you’re eventually back to your old rotten dopamine-starved self, for a brief moment you feel good. After peeking once more later that day and feeling the fear and dread of eventually relapsing, I thought of another way of looking at it that has helped me push away both the fear and the part of me that wanted to continue in my addiction: My main problem was that despite quitting, I was still looking at porn as some kind of forbidden fruit. This fruit, to me, tasted good when I ate it, and then I felt horrible afterwards but still had to keep eating the fruit every once in a while. Porn though, isn’t a fresh forbidden fruit. It’s not (for instance) a fresh apple, it’s like a rotten one. Think of sexuality as this apple, you can enjoy it fresh (by having actual sex), or you can eat it in its rotten state (watching porn). Sure, at first you may be curious to try the rotten apple. You take a bite, and for a (very) brief moment it may even taste quite alright, but not long afterwards you taste the rot, you feel bad, you may even feel like puking. Why did you eat the rotten apple? If you wanted apples, surely you should’ve just eaten a fresh one, right? But anyways, you didn’t, and now you feel stupid. I guess we can agree that eating rotten apples is stupid, and it would be especially stupid to go ahead and eat another one - you’ll just feel bad again, and probably even more stupid because this time you KNEW what it was going to taste like. The point is - How long are you going to go around eating rotten apples, just for that one possible moment where they taste like a fresh one? Go get a fresh apple right now instead! Or don’t, you’re free to engage in as many non apple-related activities as you’d like. Whatever you do though, stop eating rotten apples. You know it’s bad for you and you don’t like doing it, so what’s the point in eating more of them? Go enjoy your life, free from the burden of forcing yourself to eat rotten apples!

2 days ago, when I was out walking in the evening, I noticed two guys running down the road near me passed the few shops. Didn't really think anything of it until one dashed across the road without checking traffic and the other stopped running and start swearing and shaking his head. The guy who stopped started walking back to his parked car and started phoning someone. Looks like whoever the first guy was stole something from the other and managed to get away. I still can't stop thinking that I should've jumped in, stopped the guy, or done something. But it all happened so quick, the whole situation probably lasted 2 seconds, if that. And when I first saw them running, because it was dark, it just looked like a couple of teenagers just running on the path together. It wasn't until he dashed across the road and ran away that it was more obvious something bad had happened. I'm normally really alert when it comes to things like this, I've been pretty ill the last few days so maybe my head wasn't as clear as it should be, or whatever I don't know. But I feel so bad that I didn't step in and help the guy out. I know for the most part you shouldn't really step in, as you don't know what people carry on them these days and it could be really dangerous, but I can't help but feeling like I've messed up big time and should've helped the guy out! I've always thought that, in situations like that I'd step in, but I've just proven to myself that I did the opposite The one positive though, is the guy seemed physically okay, just more annoyed about what happened. So hopefully whatever was taken can be replaced

My husband and I just started TTC and I went in for a full fertility exam for a few reasons. They found a very small 7mm fibroid that was intramural but had submucosal component. They are making me get an SIS to confirm the fibroid and then recommended me getting it removed. I know for fertility treatment that makes sense but we really want to conceive naturally (barring any extenuating circumstances after my HSG and husbands SA). Does a small fibroid really decrease the chance of implantation?

So in my last post this was my issue: \- Using PC before going to work. No issues. \- I take my PC to work. No issues. \- After coming home & setting everything up (the only difference is at home I plug my PC into an outlet at my desk vs at work I plug it into an APC unit, where the Battery Backup outlets are) my PC would not boot, or at least not into Windows. I have a dual boot setup and it would boot into CachyOS but only after a few minutes & there is NO display until it does, making it impossible to do anything prior. What I did last time & this time: Last time: Took out CMOS, GPU & RAM & reinserted everything & basically just rebooting until it showed the boot manager, and when trying to select Windows [it gave me this error](https://imgur.com/a/qHOXV8N) but after rebooting and trying one more time… it worked just fine… This time: literally the same exact thing except I plugged my HDMI into a different output on my monitor, which I’ve never used before, and it showed the boot manager just fine. Did the same exact thing and after trying one more time, Windows just works. I’m glad to know that my PC is working… again… but I’d like to know what’s ***actually***** **causing the issue so that I know what to do next time or better yet, prevent it altogether. I’m gonna take a shot in the dark & say it isn’t a hardware issue but maybe something happens with the boot manager? Again, this never happened at work, only after bringing it back home and this is the second time this happened; I have carrying my PC to & from work for ***months***** **now with no issue.

Hey guys so I was planning to get my 7/8 year old nephew in law a switch as a gift as whenever I’m there with my wife he loves to play mine. Originally switch 1 now switch 2. I was just contemplating between buying him a modded switch 1 found for like £150 and then a 256gb sd card or a switch 2 like mine. Just personally wanting to know if switch 1 still holds up from a non biased community. Since I got my switch 2 it’s night and day between that and a switch 1. Was also contemplating giving him my old switch but the joycons are mashed up and would rather get him a modded one for the economical factor Regarding switch 2 I thought it would definitely hold up the time test and it would make presents for him and his siblings way easier during birthdays and events. Just get them a new game every few months when I visit. Thanks for the advice
