i’m 22F in my final year of my arts degree and i feel lost as to what to do. i come from two hard working parents who provided me with a comfortable middle class upbringing. i have been thinking a lot about what i would like to do after college and it is making me depressed. i don’t think i could pursue a masters degree because of how difficult and stressful i have found my undergrad. to be completely honest, i just want to find a relatively stress-free job that pays the bills. my only ambition is to afford to move out at some stage and build a home that i am proud of and feel safe in. that’s it. i dont want a big flashy house or car or lifestyle. i just want a roof over my head that i can call my own. when i express this to people, i feel like they look at me like i am crazy. sometimes i feel like i’m broken because i went to a really good school where people come from very high achieving, wealthy backgrounds and all of them when to go on to be millionaires. i just want to know that it’s okay for me not to be ambitious with my dreams. i am very easily satisfied, and believe i would be happy living a simple life where i work to live rather than live to work. does anyone have any advice on how to address this with the people around me and feel comfortable in my life plans.

I watched Twin Peaks completely spoiler free and never went anywhere near the online discourse (to avoid spoilers) while watching it, so when I got to the “Just You” scene I genuinely didn’t understand why everyone thought it was so cringe.. Like obviously it’s goofy as hell but by that point I was so deep into Twin Peaks that James singing with Maddy and Donna just felt normal to me lol. The whole show is so absurd and melodramatic that it didn’t even register as out of place. And James being this overly sincere sensitive dude actually made sense to me in the context of the show. Then I finished it, went online and discovered that apparently James is one of the biggest memes from the show and that song is basically Twin Peaks’ version of Skyler singing Happy Birthday to Ted 💀 But the thing is I actually DID find the Skyler scene insanely cringe when I watched Breaking Bad spoiler free. I was physically uncomfortable watching that shit.. The difference is that “Just You” feels like something that belongs in Twin Peaks. I’ve successfully quit smoking for more than a week (yay!) after 20 years of daily smoking, 25 of smoking total. This time I’ve done it with a vape and feel great and no desire to go back to cigarettes at all. However - I did quit smoking for 9 months about 8 years ago after successful hypnotherapy. It worked incredibly and I was cold turkey with no replacement needed. I obviously went back to smoking eventually, then quit again cold turkey years later (last year) for pregnancy and breastfeeding, and now this has been my most third and most recent quit - this time with a vape. Know this the millionth post on this topic, but how would you proceed? \- Wife and I want to live in the mountain west/west coast and will be moving in the next year to be in base. \- I don’t care about wide body flying, but have enjoyed being a captain, the most important thing to me is QOL and time at home. \- I’m not sure how impactful seniority is on QOL at a legacy. At my regional it’s shit until you get 50% then the job becomes amazing. \- Am fairly young (again lucky) and have 35+ years at wherever I choose… the gravity of the decision is psyching me out! Pros and Cons: AA: \- seniority progression and ability to upgrade fast \- better bases if the wife and I don’t love LA or PHX \- more relaxed culture \- financials in the toilet \- less WB flying if I get tired of NB \- bitter senior pilot group DL \- strong financials \- excellent RSV rules and contract \- in-laws are in Seattle \- poor seniority progression comparatively \- kool-aid and hats \- fleet variety and seat locking Honestly after the interviews I’m leaning 70/30 towards AA, but have this nagging feeling I should be favoring DL with how strong they’ve been the past decade (and look to continue to be).

Was super disappointed with the physics of 26 and how no matter what you do to the sliders, the AI are planted in the turn, contact does nothing to them, etc. Got in a lobby with 27 others. Lightly tapped the dude ahead for 15th on the last lap at Richmond (I got door slammed on the opening lap by a guy dive bombing) it lightly moved him out of the groove but didn’t wreck him. Was crazy realistic and totally changed how I feel about this game.

Just wanted to add another datapoint. I called a bunch of dealers and got OTD prices ranging between 45-50k OTD. I also used the costco auto program and it actually gave me the best deal BUT looking back, since this was my first time using the program, i wasn’t aware i needed to ask for the invoice/costco price sheet so i’m not sure how much the dealer probably overcharged me. While annoying, i’m not super upset since they were the lowest price plus they were actually able to get me the car since there were maybe only 3 actually in dealer lots within a 300mi radius. My OTD price was 44k. Limited trim. Driving it has been great but has anyone else had a bit of wind noise around the left ear once you get past 40ish mph? Not sure if this is normal or not since it’s my first EV.

I've been increasingly annoyed by how small useful buttons are becoming and how much useless area we have in comparison. And I'm okay; how are users who need accesibility options supposed to deal with this? I know you can say "well move to another app" yeah well I came by recommendation a couple of years ago after Spotify added the stupid sticky menu that comes up when you try to unlike one song. I was initially very satisfied with this service and I've been seriously considering moving to another one, even if it means dealing with the hassle of exporting playlists and such.

My family left the care of my bedridden grandmother to my uncle’s girlfriend, and now everyone is acting shocked that she finally broke down and left I need to vent about something that has been building up in my family for years. Back in 2018, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Since then, she has slowly lost her memory and now forgets everything and everyone. Because of this, my uncle moved in with her. At first, he was not really taking proper care of her, and her physical health declined a lot over the years. In 2024, she had a bad fall and ended up bedridden. She has been bedridden ever since. Taking 24/7 care of an elderly person is a lot. I understand that more or less because I used to help my aunt take care of my late great-aunt. It is physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausting. Eventually, my uncle did come around and started doing what needed to be done. He was not happy with the situation, but he did take care of my grandmother: making food, bathing her, changing diapers, and handling the daily needs that come with full-time care. My mother, however, has never volunteered to take care of her or even pay much attention to the situation. She mostly brushed it off as my uncle’s problem because she is “too busy.” This past month, everything changed. My uncle has cancer and is now hospitalized in intensive care. Once he was hospitalized, my grandmother still needed constant care, but no one in the family either wanted to or could take responsibility for her. I had already told my mother that my grandmother needed to be placed in a nursing home, but she said my uncle was the legal guardian and that he could not afford it, so nothing was done. In response, my uncle’s girlfriend, who I’ll call “C,” stayed full-time taking care of both my uncle and my grandmother. But after about a month of my uncle’s health going up and down, my grandmother needing constant care, and bills piling up, C finally left. Here is how it happened. When my uncle was hospitalized, none of his children wanted to help. Out of desperation, they called my aunt from my dad's side (mind you, my parents have been divorced for 20 years by the way) to drive C to my grandmother’s house because my grandmother could not be left alone. Once C got there, she realized the huge responsibility involved in caring for my grandmother. My aunt, who had experience with caregiving, helped her that night so C could learn how to do everything. But the stress and anxiety started to overwhelm C. She could not find peace doing this all day, every day, so she called my mother and asked her to help. Week 1: my mother was “too busy.” Week 2: we came to check on my grandmother, but we left because my uncle happened to be released from the hospital that day. My mother thought my grandmother would be fine because he was back home. The joke was on her, because my uncle returned to the hospital the very next day. And who stayed with my grandmother? C. C felt bad about the situation, but she is not actually my grandmother’s family. This should not have been her responsibility. Earlier this week, C urged my mother to stay the weekend and take care of my grandmother because C had family business to attend to. Because my mother is, in my opinion, careless and selfish, and because she can barely move due to her weight and other health conditions, she asked my brother and me to stay with her and basically do everything my grandmother could need while my mother sat in bed or in a chair watching TV. My brother and I were okay with helping because we understood the urgency of the situation. We also wanted to check on my grandmother. So we arranged everything and went. When we arrived at my grandmother’s house, we found that C had left a very heated note for my mother. I was not surprised, but I was extremely anxious about what would happen next. For all I knew, my mother could have driven back home, left my brother and me there, and not cared at all. Thankfully, she did not do that. At first, though, she fully blamed C. She said what C did was beyond betrayal and blatant abandonment because, according to my mother, it was C’s duty as my uncle’s girlfriend of more than 20 years to take care of my grandmother. My mother argued that their relationship made C just as responsible for my grandmother as my uncle. I completely disagree. My mother has had a partner for around 15 years, and he has never done anything to help with this side of the family, so I do not understand the logic. After a lot of discussion and time, my uncle and my mother finally agreed to send my grandmother to a nursing home. My mother also agreed to stay with my grandmother until she is fully settled there so my brother and I can go back home for work and school. So I guess that part is somewhat settled. But the whole situation has made me think about how incompetent and unfathomable my mother’s behavior is. C should not have been doing all of this. My grandmother is my uncle and my mother’s responsibility. If my uncle cannot do it anymore, then it falls on my mother to step up. But history shows that my mother has never cared enough. Back when my grandmother was still physically able but starting to lose her memory, my brother and I noticed that she was often dirty and unkempt. Sometimes we saw bruises and other marks on her body. When we talked to my mother about it, she brushed it off. When my grandmother fell and spent more than two months in the hospital, we waited over a month to see her. We only went on Christmas Day, and we stayed for around four hours. When my uncle was hospitalized, my mother kept saying he would eventually go back home and resume caring for my grandmother. She never seriously considered doing something real about the situation. Her incompetence hurts and annoys me, but it is even worse for my brother. He is autistic, and he feels his hatred toward my mother and his sadness for my grandmother very intensely. It pains me to see him so down because of all of this. I am angry that nobody did anything sooner. I am angry that C was forced into this role until she broke down. I am angry that my mother keeps avoiding responsibility until there is no other choice. And I am scared that after my brother and I leave, we still will not really know what is going to happen with my grandmother. I am concerned, hurt, and exhausted by the whole situation. Moving back to my hometown has made my life a wreck.

Just got back from the Apple Store and the replacement is doing the same thing with Face ID causing the device to restart. I even bought a screen protector from them and I still facethe same issue. The device restarts when Face ID crashes. I even went from the pro max down to the Pro primarily due to the size and weight difference but it seems like it’s software-related, so I’m hoping they come out with an update soon.

Honestly, I had a **lot of fun with Wolverine**. I went into it already being a big fan of the character and of what Insomniac has done with Spider-Man, so maybe that helped, but for me the game absolutely delivered. The combat feels great, Wolverine feels powerful and brutal, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. That said, I **wouldn’t pay £70 for it**. I managed to get it for around **£19.99 because i used my Revo points to get a 50£ gift card from Revolut**, and at that price I’m really happy with it. If you’re looking at paying the full £70, I’d probably recommend waiting for the first sale. I’ve also seen other reviewers mention various problems, but honestly, **I didn’t run into any of those issues during my playthrough**. Maybe I got lucky, but my experience was really smooth. If you **love Wolverine**, or you’re a fan of what Insomniac did with Spider-Man, I think you’ll have a great time with this. **My take: buy it on sale.** At £50, I’d absolutely recommend it. At £70, I’d wait. Really enjoyed this one. 🐺🎮

I’m in a weird spot lol I started Genshin right before 6.0 dropped took a long break when Mavuika debuted and then came back during 7.0 because I was so excited about sneznaya. As you can see I prioritized the archon quests over exploration and now I am finally up to date again with the current archon quests. I have sooooo much exploration to do and world quests to do. The only major world quests I have done were most of the inuzuma quests and half of dragonspine and half of the golden slumber, nothing else had been touched. What should I focus on first? I have so much content I’m overwhelmed now that I don’t have the main story to chip away at lol. I love the lore and world building in this game so I want to be more familiar with it as I feel I have missed out on so much compared to og players.

Edit: Yes I know it’s irresponsible and you’re supposed to start slow and not increase dose so early but wait 4 weeks, but I struggle so badly w binging and I’ve accepted the risks of side effects so don’t flame me for this.
