I don’t feel the uniforms make as much of a difference as people claim. I’ve spent the majority of my 50hr in ea with a range finder spotting people. I can’t find blue any easier. Movement is the only thing your eyes notice when looking. Not small color differences in the environment. That’s science I believe. I have an ultrawide OLED running high graphics. Certainly no difference to me as a sniper or recon spotter, and I’ve never noticed any difference up close as infantry either. For reference I exclusively play red so I’m mostly talking about Blue v Green

Hello! I'm looking for some folks (preferably queer, but it's by no means a requirement), that want to play a long term campaign in a homebrew setting. The game will be on Thursdays, 11am CEST. I'm an experienced DM, but this will be my first time running Daggerheart. We'll be using Hope & Fear as well as the core rulebook. First time Daggerheart players are more than welcome! Currently looking for 5 players. -------- ### Campaign Frame: You begin at level 1. Here's a document for the Frame: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aY-sQre_WokBHwuFyUHFFdbKh0YjpB_wzSap7kvOrME/edit?usp=drivesdk If you have any questions, please let me know! ------ My games are semi-serious with a heavy focus on RP and story - That's not to say that combat isn't important, but combat will be used to drive the plot/session, rather than the other way around. Games use Foundry as the VTT, and occur over Discord VC. ------ So, if you’ve read all this and are still interested, please answer the google form. I found this nice and moody lithography on very thick (about 400gms) paper in an old frame on the roadside here in germany. Anyone able to decipher the signature? Reads as L. Balestieu maybe? The paper is blank on the backside. Seems a bit oldish, but not too old - I‘d guess around 1900-1920 something maybe?

I made a short documentary about the history behind Vatican City’s independence, from the fall of the Papal States and the Roman Question to the Lateran Treaty of 1929. One aspect I found particularly interesting is the distinction between Vatican City and the Holy See, and why sovereign territory became important for the independence of the papacy. I thought it might be relevant to this community and would be interested in your thoughts.

Hi everyone, Asking here if anyone knows of companies, boutique agencies, or clients currently hiring students for part-time, night-shift, or flexible/output-based tech work. I'm a senior at a state university in the middle of our capstone project, with an unpredictable class schedule. I urgently need work to cover ongoing capstone expenses and finance replacement parts for my laptop (currently limping along on temporary hardware fixes just to keep going). My tech skills are broad and generalist rather than deeply specialized, but I can deliver hands-on work in: Web & App Development: UI/front-end tasks, basic backend logic, API integrations, and database maintenance. Penetration Testing & Security: Web/network vulnerability assessments, misconfiguration checks, and navigating common cybersecurity tools. Scripting & Technical Support: Basic automation scripts (Bash/Batch/Python), system troubleshooting, and code debugging. Because of heavy coursework and our capstone load, rigid daytime 9-to-5 schedules won't work right now. I need something asynchronous, graveyard/night shift, or task-based where output matters more than fixed daytime hours. If your workplace has openings, if you know someone looking for an extra pair of hands for junior dev/QA/tech support tasks, or if you can refer a student, please drop a comment below. Any leads or recommendations would be a massive help. Thank you!

Overview for Sad-Grab-5490

5 weeks into school and I’ve been thinking about why teaching seems so much harder now than when I started. Reading posts on Reddit and watching teacher videos elsewhere it seems I’m not alone. The answer I’ve come to is that we have conflicting objectives. Rigor and Comfort. Teachers are told we need to be rigorous, have high standards, teach content and skills. This is hard and makes students uncomfortable. We are also told to ensure all students feel safe, comfortable and to protect students mental well being. Too often these objectives are in conflict. I love my job. I care about these students. I want to help them succeed. But I’m tired. What success have you had balancing these objectives in your classroom? Sincerely, A middle and high school history teacher.

Obviously a lot of it was for fun, but I'm seriously in awe of seeing him beat those 100 people and how he went about it. Even on lap 1 and at turn 1, seeing how an F1 driver knows how to maneuver between dozens of people while everyone literally is stunned & does not know what to do is so insanely impressive from both a physical standpoint & mental processing capacity. Even just knowing when to turn, when to slow down, when there is a big enough gap, how to "thrust" to gain momentum, and how to angle himself perfectly to hit the apex at a turn is so cool to see compared to normal people. I think we all know how impressive F1 drivers are, but this is the equivalent of when you see basketball players like Kevin Durant play at Rucker Park against street-hoopers.

Just came across the comments on Yogesh’s latest vlog, and the amount of unnecessary hate was honestly surprising. So many comments were repeating the same narrative, and most of it was somehow related to AK. It feels less like genuine criticism and more like coordinated negativity. Yogesh is simply focusing on his work and career, yet people keep finding reasons to hate. If you don’t like his content, just move on. The obsession with bringing the same topic into everything is honestly weird.

I (f28) want to start off by saying that I will be seeking medical attention tomorrow morning. I’m just a tee curious… When I went to put on my shoes for work I felt some pain but I disregarded it. Throughout my workday it started bothering me a lot more that it was hard to ignore. After work I switched to my crocs and when I took off my sock I saw that I had like a cut and with the friction of my wet sock (my shoes got wet) it didn’t look so great. When I got home I cleaned it and applied antibiotic ointment and covered it with a band aide. The next day around the cut I seemed to develop a rash? Or a skin reaction. I was surprised because the bandaid I used is latex free, which I’m allergic to. Now it’s been 5 days (I know..I know..) and it unfortunately hasn’t gotten much better. Now I don’t have any physical symptoms. I feel pretty normal but there is a little throbbing here and there not sure if that is included with pain. There’s a little pain but I can step on my foot just fine without it. It doesn’t smell, there is puss and the discharge is yellow on the gauze pad when I change it. Quickly, I have eczema or contact dermatitis. Two questions: 1. How do you properly clean a cut like this? Or must you go to a doctor right away? 2. Does it look infected ? Allergic reaction? Or both? Thank you for your response in advance and please be kind.

My Shiba Inu had surgery yesterday because of an enlarged prostate. He also had a pretty big sebaceous cyst in his neck which was growing. Because he had to go in for castration due to the enlarged prostate. We decided to also remove the cyste in his neck. It had a diameter of about an inch. When we got him back we were surprised about the big incision in his neck. Nobody warned us it would be this large. It's about 4 inches long and really doesn't look that well. Is this normal for a procedure like this? If I would have known this before I probably wouldn't have done it. Because now he suffers from an enlarged prostate, the castration and a big incision in his neck. I have attached a photo of the incision. It just really seems a bit too much what they did. The cyste was all the way at the left (upper neck) and I just don't see why the rest was necessary.

I hired a licensed roofing company to redo the mansard faces on my house. Original contract was about $5,800. The prior work had been done by an unlicensed guy with no permit, so the mansard was known to be a mess going in. Mid-install the foreman told me verbally there would be "some additional cost." No number given. After completion I got a change order for $3,612, a 62% increase. Six line items across the same six dormers/windows: **•** custom step flashing **•** dormer valley shingle repairs **•** custom metal flashing **•** AZEK trim removal and reinstall I feel like several of the conditions (gaps around window trim, dormer corners, valley shingles) were visible from the ground before anyone quoted the job. There's also a separate window trim quote still outstanding, so the final number could go higher. I've told them I'll pay the original contract amount as agreed and asked for their best number on the change order plus the trim pricing before I commit to anything. My questions: **1.** Is a 60%+ change order normal on a mansard tear-off, or does that point to a lazy initial inspection? **2.** Does a verbal "there will be some extra" during install lock me into whatever number they write later? **3.** What's a fair landing spot on something like this?

Uh yea sure:/

While this might sound like a shill - it's not, I'm not affiliated with them or get any other incentive, I just find it attractive because of low price and decent functionality. My only gripe it looks like it can't be adjusted lower than 40A using dip switches, so requires 50A circuit. App has lower soft limits, but that's not NEC compliant. A few other things to highlight that others here will like: * Despite obviously being made in china it's [CSA certified](https://www.csagroup.org/testing-certification/product-listing/certificate/?cert=303379-5311-12); * WAGO style hardwire terminals (like chargepoint) - no torque screwdriver necessary; * RFID cards to start charging Other than that, it's absolutely not flexible (pun intended, speaking about cord too): no power sharing, no load management or solar capture. Unit itself is quite similar to Grizzl-E Classic Connect 40A ($350) in terms of functionality and MSRP, but in plastic case with addition of RFID card reader and WAGO terminals. Currently for roughly $135 for less. Why are we trying to elect someone who was born just after World War 2? How do they have a pulse on what the world is like today? Things are moving so fast, so many old people can’t even tell the difference between what’s real and what isn’t. Seems like a bad idea? Or am I just over reacting?

So im pretty new to readingz been two years and ive read around 7-8 books. Mostly selfhelp and history, biographies. I tried reading on my phone but screen light strain eyes after long session and tbh i get distracted by other apps anyways. So ive been using dumb phone for past two months as a part of digital minimalism and digital detoxing that i am trying. Anyways, to the actual questions. Basically I love the feeling of physical books buying, finishing and then putting it in shelf feels like a reward. I was thinking about getting an e reader but i dont know much about it never seen one irl, its expensive then getting a book but would be a one time investment. So should I get an ereader or stick to physical books If yes which one should I get any recommendations

I had a few stillborn lambs preserved in the freezer and am hoping to tan their hides. I am most interested in vegetable tanning (we have oak and sumac trees) but am open to other options. This seems less intimidating than a deer hide we were gifted that may not be in the best shape because it is so much smaller, but also, it feels like it matters more if I do them justice. Any advice?

Citi is awful! I have worked for this company for 20+ years and used to be proud/brag about the type of company it was! The change that has occurred over the last few years is soooo disappointing. This company doesn’t care about its employees at all, especially its staff in the US. A large majority of US positions will be eliminated by 2028 (I know first hand from being part of the planning discussions). The goal is to automate as much as possible through AI and the rest will be offshore. US citizens should not put a dime into this bank. Find an institution with values. One that cares a little more about the average American citizen. Can’t wait to see what excuses we get this year on why our bonuses and raises are so low, while we watch Jane reap all the rewards. I have noticed that Codex/ChatGPT Desktop in its original form is a token and work trap. I have applied dozens of wonderful tricks thanks to the community, such as delaying the waits of sub-agents, using the codex queue feature (75% of my weekly quota went into misuse of the cache because I work a lot with CI, MCP, etc.), or implementing automated waits. The use of a red-team. Put different levels of intelligence/models on the sub-agents depending on what task they are going to perform with a skill to guide the orchestration ... God, what a lot of things, it is not normal that this doesn’t come standard. But the best trick is undoubtedly the most basic of all and is to ask Astra (or whatever) when the task ends “what confidence do you have in what you have done?”. I have defined in the Agents.md that when I write “trust” it has to answer that question and give me a general percentage of confidence and then separate elements of little trust and notes and solutions. It’s brutal as most of the time, at least 3/4 of the tasks, the confidence is below 60% even using Astra Max. And it doesn’t say nonsense, they are always real failures for the future or possible conflicts or misunderstandings. After several passes it is usually always at 80-90% because there is always an extra 10% that is either difficult to evaluate or requires test batteries, but it is still the best trick I learned from the community and there is not a single task where I do not ask it when has just done it. I have it also asks itself the question but usually ignores it. In addition, I like to debate with it and understand the problems and solutions, especially when it realizes that something is left over, or needs more work elsewhere. Try it. The way I work has totally changed for me.

Hi everyone, I’m looking to form a small group of 10–12 serious UPSC CSE aspirants. The purpose is NOT to create another group for sharing PDFs, random resources or motivational messages. I want to build a focused study + accountability group where members actually study, discuss, revise, solve PYQs and regularly test themselves. The basic idea is: STUDY → DISCUSS → TEST → ANALYSE → REVISE → REPEAT Topics we’ll primarily cover: • Polity • History + Art & Culture • Geography • Economy • Environment & Ecology • Science & Technology • Current Affairs • Prelims PYQs + MCQs • Mains PYQs + Answer Writing • Essay • CSAT (as required) The focus will be on GS subjects common to Prelims and Mains, with PYQs being the backbone of our preparation. PLAN: 1. WEEKLY TARGETS Everyone sets realistic targets at the beginning of the week and gives a short progress update. 2. PYQ-BASED DISCUSSIONS Instead of endlessly collecting resources, we’ll take UPSC PYQs topic-wise and understand: • What UPSC is actually asking • Repeated themes • Important concepts • Possible Mains dimensions • Prelims traps 3. WEEKLY MCQ SESSION A fixed number of MCQs every week followed by discussion of mistakes and elimination techniques. 4. ANSWER WRITING Regular Mains answer practice with peer review. The aim is not to judge handwriting or English, but to improve: • Understanding of the demand • Structure • Content • Examples/data • Introduction & conclusion • Time management 5. ERROR LOG Each member maintains a personal “mistake book” containing wrong MCQs, weak concepts, factual errors and recurring answer-writing mistakes. We periodically revisit these instead of simply moving on. 6. TEACH-BACK METHOD A few members each week can pick a topic and explain it to the group in 5–10 minutes. Teaching a topic forces you to organise your understanding and often exposes gaps that passive reading doesn't. GROUP CRITERIA: • Maximum 10–12 members. No huge group. • Serious about UPSC CSE preparation. • Should have a reasonably consistent study routine. • Willing to participate rather than just lurk. • Comfortable discussing doubts and helping others. • Open to constructive criticism and peer review. • No unnecessary PDF/resource dumping. • No spam or irrelevant forwards. • No constant coaching/teacher/resource debates. • If you’re unable to participate for a period, just communicate it. • Consistency matters more than studying 14 hours for two days and disappearing for a week. WHO I’M LOOKING FOR: You don't need to be a topper or have an extraordinary academic background. What matters more is that you're genuinely preparing and willing to contribute to the group. Ideally, members should have similar seriousness and reasonably compatible preparation stages so that discussions remain useful. If interested, DM me with: 1. Age: 2. Academic background (degree + university): 3. Working / Student / Full-time aspirant: 4. UPSC attempt/year targeting: 5. Previous Prelims/Mains/Interview experience, if any: 6. Optional subject: 7. Current preparation stage: 8. Approx. daily study hours: 9. Test series/coaching status: 10. One subject/topic you’re currently weak in: 11. What do you expect from the group? 12. What can you contribute to the group? I’ll keep the group limited to 10–12 people. The objective is simple: build a small group where everyone pushes their own preparation forward while making the others better too. If this sounds like the kind of preparation environment you’re looking for, feel free to DM... P.S.- This is my friend's reddit account ,so please reply fast.

Hello everyone. My daughter and I love playing Lorcana. We entered the game around Fabled last year. And she was playing a steel/amber aggro deck around Tiana. Since rotation, we have been struggling to find a deck for her that is both competitive, and doesn’t have too many triggers and mechanics that she gets lost in. She likes steel because of the defense aspect pretty much built in. Right now she has become solid with Sids toys (too many mechanics and triggers), Panda songs (good, but not that competitive), and a Pain/Panic burn deck (still controllable). I’m curious if you guys have any suggestions for a good deck for her to play with. Something that is fast as far as questing, but will also allow her to play some defense with steel. I’m aware of the steel/green Elinor. But any thing other than that? Any information helps! Thanks in advance. Photos are decks she is currently messing around with.

I have gotten hit out of thruster, and shield going to cooldown while being hit recently, instead of the shield activating. Using these abilities during fights while getting hit were easily my favorite part of the gameplay. I can't seem to find any patch notes that confirm this, but it this seemed to happen with the shield ability on the same update where Assassin lost the ability to run for more than a couple seconds while invisible without it temporarily deactivating. I haven't noticed an issue with the thrusters until the last update. Nerf the ult on destroyer instead or something. Reduce its damage, and the super long cooldown on it. Having an escape is good. I don't really want to play a game where I am just mowed down by a camper, or mow down an enemy without them being able to use any abilities, it just isn't fun at all to not get to use the items and abilities that make this game different in a fight. And I have a ton of basic shooter games like that to choose from. Being able to take hits and heal prolongs the fights and makes them more fun than just a regular shooter game. If this is about something being too op tactically, then nerf something like camping, by having them pinged or bots spawn in or rush them or something if they sit or crouch for too long. Also consider buffing the other classes. Each class should have things to contribute to team tactically. We really should have never had people complaining about the bots having more abilities than the runner shells. Also the thruster is already hard to use. It seems to not have a cancel. Please add a cancel with the space button. So, I don't have to precisely pre-aim, preplan and time all my thrusters, makes the melee boost core with it not very useful, and hard to find places tactically to use it to jump in and out of a fight and cover. I am also not a fan of the shield automatically deactivating while I use thrusters. It's really not even near invincibility from anything other than gunshots directly at it till it breaks, does not work on aoe attacks, like grenades or vandals blast. And don't even get me started on the tactical sprint lighting up the character being super loud and generating so much heat that it can make you fall behind your regular sprinting teammates by heating up too quickly. It's not nearly as useful as vandals speed boost, that will actually let you travel a long distance faster. I am okay with making somethings weaker for balancing, but not it no longer being fun to play or even useless. Basically, sitting at an ult with a 4 minute cooldown, with max cradle and abilities that aren't practical to use in a team fight that give away your position when using them in pve also.

Thoughts on the aesthetic of my dollhouse sim? Does it look too creepy?
