The former Govanhill United Presbyterian Church (Robert Baldie, 1880) on Daisy Street - nicely closing the view from Cathcart Road up Bankhall Street. Now disused but (so far) not burnt down... We have so many of these churches, but what to do with them now they have no use?

To J I know I ended things. I admit that. I cried my eyes out for weeks because all I saw everywhere i looked was you. You’re all I ever wanted. Even the broken parts. I thought we could work through those more difficult parts until you broke my trust my love. How can we come back from that? The versions of you I’m still madly in love with I search for in others and I am unsuccessful. You broke me in so many ways. Love N

I used to make 85 a year. Then I lost my job. Filed for bankruptcy. Now I work in a call center making 45 a year and surrounded by losers that bullied me for 4 months straight so bad even corporate HR, not in house HR, got involved 4 times and fired the ringleader. My education got me nowhere. Why am I stuck at a call center. What was it all for? The increased racsm in the US is making me feel like I shouldn't exist in my skin. And I'll be 28 next week and still have never dated because I spent so much time working and overtime and my education for it to all be so meaningless. I cry every night. I don't understand why I wake up anymore. I really don't.

Haven't played since end of Unity Cup due various life challenges but upon reopening my game I've noticed I'm way behind the curve. So I'm turning to you guys for some help to get back up to speed. Mainly how do I catch back up to the power curve with the resources I currently have, how should I be training etc. Thanks in advance

I’m in a tough spot just recently got out the army around 6 months and moved into my new place just trying to catch up and I get paid again on 9/11/26 and can repay an extra $50-100 when I get paid. Fell behind and need to get an extra $150 to make sure rent is paid. I have cashapp, Venmo, and PayPal and can send a pic of my license or something as proof. Thanks in advanced

What're they doing? (Wrong answers only)

So i really want to build a base somewhere but i don't have good combat stats and i only have two people. I don't know where to build and how to make a running settlement. If someone knows anything that could help me with this please comment

TW: child death I read a book in the 1990's or early 2000's: 2 married professionals in England have a baby who is born with Down's Syndrome. The mother is very accepting and loving, the father is having some struggles but is adapting. One day the father is out with the young toddler and she is gone missing and later found dead. The marriage dissolves but they still see one another occasionally. I won't say anymore of the plot as to avoid major spoiler. I don't think it's Child in Time by Ian McEwan but similar. I think the cover had a small child on the cover with a patchwork like dress and a doll in her hand with a blurry face.

Hi! I've recently entered college and got into my first physics class. I'm on my second unit, vectors and the professor doesn't really teach the subject too well, and just rushes through notes. I have trouble really understanding what each question is asking, and he doesn't really assign homework to work through them. He says that practicing probelms is the key to understanding physics but it's hard to do that when the notes/textbook is super confusing, and the only practice probelms he has are 3-4 advanced ones. I know in college you're supposed to be self learning but I'm not really sure what resources to use, or where to find probelms to practice on. Please help with advice on what videos to watch in order to understand vectors as well where to practice probelms to build up my proficiency on them

There are plenty of movies where you see the villain having a great time tormenting the hero and moving his plans forward. Most any John Lithgow villain, for example. In what movie is the hero having a blast fighting the villain? I guess Spider-Man quips enough to count, but I can't think of too many others. And please, describe it a bit.

I have **1 year and 8 months** left before reaching my 6-year H-1B max-out. My original PERM was filed in August 2025. After waiting 12 months, it was denied. My employer recently refiled the PERM in August 2026. Simultaneously, my current H-1B visa stamp/I-94 is expiring, and my employer is preparing an extension petition. **My questions are:** 1. When my employer files this extension, will I simply receive an approval for the remaining **1 year and 8 months** of my standard 6-year limit? 2. Since my original PERM was pending for 12 months before denial, am I eligible for an **AC21 1-year extension** beyond the 6-year limit, effectively giving me **2 years and 8 months** total?"

Was anyone else more than a little thrown off about when Carmella’s partner Danny came over to where Tamra, Emily and Gina were sitting and was immediately met with do you feel overwhelmed, scared, nervous… and moments before they were judging his character? I can’t put my finger on exactly why this isn’t sitting right, but it just seems like bad faith questions. Opinions?

Just curious about something. I haven't been on c.ai in a couple months. Hopped on the other day after seeing Brand New Day cause duh I wanted to RP with a Peter Parker or a Spiderman bot, but when I typed in Spiderman or Peter Parker it came up with no characters. So then I tried just Peter and that worked, but they're all like Peter P or Peter P4rker, different variations of that. Tried it with some other marvel characters and the same thing happened?? Is it like some new copyright issue or something I'm not aware of?

I’m 5 days post-op from an open left L5-S1 microdiscectomy/decompression and I’m looking for experiences from anyone who had a similar procedure and recovery. My surgery included: • Left L5-S1 hemilaminectomy • Partial medial facetectomy • Foraminotomy • Decompression of the left L5 and S1 nerve roots • L5-S1 discectomy/decompression I know everyone’s recovery is different, but I’ve read so many posts from people saying they were off opioid pain medication by day 3–5 that I’m starting to wonder how typical my experience is. I’m still having pretty significant surgical/back pain and muscle spasms, along with occasional nerve “shocks” or electric shooting pains into my buttock/leg. I took a very short walk today and afterward the back pain became tremendous. I was really hoping that by day 5 I’d be ready to stop the opioid pain medication, but right now I honestly feel like I may still need pain control going into the second week. For anyone who had an open microdiscectomy with a hemilaminectomy/foraminotomy/facetectomy or similar decompression, what were your first 1–2 weeks actually like? How long did the significant back/incisional pain last? Did activity or short walks cause major pain flares early on? Did you have nerve shocks or shooting pains while the nerve was recovering? And how many days did you need prescription pain medication? I’m especially interested in hearing from people whose recovery wasn’t the “I felt amazing and stopped pain meds after three days” experience. I know recovery isn’t linear, but it would be reassuring to hear what the early days looked like for others who had a rougher first week.

Is it okay for me to draw this kid so much…?

I am trying to make my first visual novel, and I thought I should start with something easy so I thought I could do one about Ticci Toby. I am still figuring drawing and my art style. This is what I made for the face of Ticci Toby. But I’m asking myself on how to make the goggles, i dislike the prototype of the goggles. I haven’t finished rendering and I also might change how the teeth look. I would appreciate any comments or ideas to suggest <33

So yesterday I was about to do a load of laundry when I noticed there was pooling and a light drip. I put in a maintenance request immediately, they weren’t able to come look at it until today. When my partner was doing laundry the other day it was making a weird high pitched noise at the beginning of the cycle. Maintenance stopped by today, I’m not sure exactly what he was doing, I gave him a brief down of course. He told me he’d be back because he needed to grab a part. He came back and a few minutes later said he needed to go outside and shut off my water. When he was done he said everything should be fine so I went ahead and did a load but after my load I noticed now the washer has a consistent pour after the cycle is done. They weren’t able to come back again today and I assume I’ll be seeing them again on Tuesday or Wednesday. What can I do in the meantime to prevent this thing from flooding my apartment?

Heyhey, folgender Sachverhalt: Ich hab neulich zum ersten mal was online bestellt (10g enua 30/1 ps3 ca myc).

After spending some time on this sub it seems like everyone’s extracurriculars are president of x club, 100+ volunteer hours, started a nonprofit (and sometimes a small business/startup), and occasionally some other stuff like research. Is that just what it takes to have a competitive resume? Although I had some ideas for a nonprofit, I did some research and honestly didn’t want to because there’s too many nonprofits and it would be more impactful to help an existing one.. But apparently that looks worse than starting one even if your own nonprofit isn’t that impactful? Or, most of the actual serious clubs that pertain to my major only have leadership roles for seniors and juniors, with sophomores occasionally getting minor roles like secretary, treasurer, etc. A lot of them don’t even fit with my schedule, you don’t do anything there because people just join for their resume, or the ones I actually want to do are completely unrelated to my engineering major like birdwatching, rock climbing etc (and I doubt I’d get a leadership role there too.) My college has Engineers Without Borders and I’m not denying that it’s a helpful club, but I got the feeling it was basically the STEM version of missionaries going to foreign countries and volunteering help and all that manpower could be used for something better. If I were to volunteer I’d rather do something more local like tutoring kids or animal shelter help, etc. Or am I just being too picky an obnoxious lol Will I be okay if I deviate from what most people do with the examples I just listed? I don’t know what I’ll do but I’m trying to get creative. Don‘t AOs think that the same ECs being on every resume don‘t stand out at all or am I just coping?

Title. I'm doing a Shiny Only playthrough of Black 2. I got my shiny Snivy last week (The 28th of August). Today (The 5th of September), I got shiny Magnemite in the Virbank Complex Double Grass (Fainted Mareep with Static in front, Snivy, and a Magnemite I caught). I find it and I'm celebrating because I spent 8 days hunting and I was finally able to move on. I was wrong. It knocked out my Snivy with 3 Sonicbooms (this comes after weakening it a bit with Tackle (I hit 3) because I didnt want to risk a crit and Knock it out with Leaf Storm since that does around half a Magnemite's HP). It proceeded to hit 3 crit thundershocks on my Magnemite between heals. And broke out of all my Great Balls and some of my Pokeballs. Magnemite fell to Sonicboom. And I whited out. Decided to grab my 2ds and double hunt in the double grass since I have 2 copies of Black 2. Kinda depressing after the timesink, but it is what it is I guess.
