I’m still thinking about the name, but I definitely want this to be my signature magical device, since I haven't seen anyone else make one like it. How the idea came about: Since using magic for lethal attacks is forbidden, I wondered, "Why not create a device to defend against any danger?" With so many madmen on the loose, people need to feel safe within their walls from time to time. While watching a movie featuring humanoid robots, I decided to bring the concept to life in the only universe where I truly understand the magic system: \*Witch Hat Atelier\* (I know I’ve gone on too long explaining this and that this part was irrelevant). How does it work?: It’s actually quite simple. This is just the first version, so it isn't fully complete yet, but it relies on an expanded puppet spell. Within the central spell itself, there are several radial lines that allow all the parts to act as a single individual—specifically, the person controlling it (it’s still in the experimental phase, so it doesn't work yet). There are two types of spells, depending on the type of rotation axis used: For linear movements—like moving forward and backward—there is a two-dimensional rotation axis; this is essentially a puppet spell completed by an outer ring, used for the armor's elbows and knees. Three-dimensional rotation axes are a different story, though there isn't actually a huge difference between the 3D and 2D versions. The main distinction is that the 2D version has eight column symbols while the 3D version has a few more; however, both feature a central glyph—the same one used on Pegasus carriages for stabilization. The helmet functions like a visor, allowing the user to see what the robot sees without needing a portal spell. There is also a spell engraved on the back of the helmet that gathers light toward the center. On the other hand, thanks to the linking glyphs, the image is projected onto another metal plate—the location where the armor is being operated remotely—while the component that allows you to view it exactly like a projection or a movie is situated below, next to the projector itself. I eagerly await any criticism or suggestions for this small project.

I understand why seniors in this field say it. But with the advancements in AI, things and dynamics are changing. Entry-level dev roles are disappearing. A lot of frontend, backend, and full-stack guys are having a hard time. So, it's not really easy to first land a dev role and gain years of experience to transition to a cloud, infra, or devops role. Most people say that 'try to be the best in what you do, so that you get hired and eventually don't get laid off if a company downsizes'. I get it. But it's not the solution to the problem. We have an abundance of developers, cs students that need to transition to new career paths as saturation increases, and AI causes lay-offs. Senior professionals and stakeholders should facilitate this transition instead of saying things like "be the best in what you do." Even if everyone gives their best, not everyone will be employed unless they transition. There are a lot of emerging technologies and areas to work in, like everything-to-grid, sustainable data centers, quantum, cloud stuff, etc, that could use those talented people. As for me, I am a software engineering student who doesn't want to become a full stack or AI engineer. I want to go into a field that genuinely requires more people as technology evolves and automatically cloud, infrastructure, and devops come into my mind. So, dear people, instead of saying "it's not an entry-level job", please understand that we youth are looking into it because we want a stable career. What an experienced person can do here is to help us younger ones figure out what is worth pursuing to build a stable career. I am anticipating genuine advice. Also, please correct me where I'm wrong.

I’d love some feedback! I have been playing with a band since early summer and we’d like to get some gigs under our belt. I got into pedals recently, but still have a few cheap mods. I like the flanger but the chorus definitely needs upgrading… curious what your thoughts are all around. I’ve been trying to trade the orange micro terror but it’s pretty fun.

the first bully was mama girl during p4. She stepped on my paper once and laughed that i have no friends. i thought thing will get better when i changed class during p5 but no. I got bullied by the entire class for two years. They have a group chat to talked bad about me and some other girls. I was locked out of the classroom door whenever i go washroom and only let me in when teacher are about. I was being punched by a guy the whole class but no one choose to stand up for me. One of the guy try to bring penknife along and threatened to cut my face. I did try complain to teacher but nothing happened since one of bully mom is teacher in the school. There is this girl who claimed that she want to be friends end up joining the bully clique after one male classmate threatened to bully her too if she want to make friends with me. It was tears of happiness for me during graduation day.

My understanding of Chinese historiography is that there is a very longstanding idea that there is this thing called "China" that has continuously existing for a very long time. And that China is sometimes unified by a state ruled by an emperor from a particular royal family. And we often refer to the state, the royal family the emperor is from, and the period of time that royal family ruled that state as the dynasty. For example, the Han Dynasty refers to a state, ruled by emperors from the Liu family, that lasted from 202 BCE to (at least nominally) 220 CE. It is also my understanding that Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor of China. I think that is for two reasons. The first being that the term Huangdi, which we translate as emperor, was invented to describe him. And the second being that the empire he ruled was the first state big enough to be considered to unify "China". So why isn't the Qin dynasty the first dynasty? I know there is the Zhou dynasty. But from my incredibly incomplete understanding of it, it refers to many different states, that all were too small to be considered to unify "China", and none of the rulers of these states called themselves "Huangdi" because that term wouldn't exist until later. So why do we call the Zhou Dynasty a dynasty. In what sense is it the same kind of thing as the Qin, or Han, or Qing or whatever? I apologize if this question doesn't actually make sense. I just feel like I'm missing something here.

I am a 36 year old dad who loves to kick back and play poe2 at night when the rest of the house falls asleep. My normal play hours are around 10pm-2am est. I play on ps5 / would lean torwards communicating via discord, whether messaging or voice chat (either is fine and anywhere from minimal to frequent 🤙). I have not played in a group before but what I am looking for is a very chill dynamic. Personally I have only made it to lvl 75 on hardcore and I don't mind if this would be your first time. There is 0 pressure to perform on my end and you could die every session and I would be there to help you back on the horse to hopefully push a little further on the next go-round. Let's have fun! I would have my own characters that I would play solo / characters that I play only when we are grouping so there is no pressure to show up but rather, when our schedules align. So as the title says, I started a TikTok channel with a specific niche and gained quite a bit of attraction... When I say that I mean 145k likes and almost 2k followers. I never once paid for likes or views or anything like that lol. I have also been branching them out to Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. They are literally just pictures. I feel like TikTok is the main social media that has been gaining the most attraction. I do post at least 6 times a week. I guess my question is, how can I "make money" from this? ​ I (28) live in England and need advice regarding child contact and safeguarding. I have two children (ages 3 and 6) with my ex "John" (35). We split 1.5 years ago on fine terms. John also has two older children (10 & 12) with his ex "K" (30). K and I are on good terms. John, K and I have no prior history with police or Social Services. ​John has been with his new partner "Jane" (23) for a year. Jane has a 2-year-old child. Over the past year, several major safeguarding and behavioral issues have emerged regarding Jane: \-​Jane lives in a Mother & Baby Unit and has active SS involvement due to safeguarding issues. SS banned John from being around Jane’s child after learning he smokes weed (on his balcony). John and Jane repeatedly breached this restriction. Recently, they were caught, SS briefly removed Jane's child and placed him in the father's care, but returned him. John openly admits he ignores SS rules because he doesn't agree with them. ​-Jane messaged me telling me to "do one" for co-parenting with John. She also wanted John to stay on the phone the entire time he was providing childcare at K’s house, and expressed that she wants him to financially/emotionally support her son and have her son call him "dad." ​-During an argument where John tried to leave her flat and had to physically move past her, Jane called the police claiming domestic violence. John was arrested, but police took No Further Action. John has no prior history of ever being violent toward me, K, or anyone else. Out of malice, Jane then reported John and K to SS for child neglect (NFA’d after investigation). Jane later admitted in a call to SS that she lied. ​Despite all this, John rekindled the relationship. ​Current Situation: John previously had a 1-bed flat where the kids stayed overnight, but he gave it up. He has now pretty much confirmed he will be moving in with Jane. ​Both K and I are extremely uncomfortable with our children being around Jane due to her volatile behavior, false allegations, and disregard for SS rules. John says he will seek legal advice about Jane being around the children, claiming "she apologised, everyone makes mistakes." ​Questions: ​What options do K and I have to legally stop John from bringing our children around Jane or into her home? ​If John takes us to court for a Child Arrangements Order (CAO), how will a court/Cafcass or Social Services view Jane’s ongoing SS involvement, her history of false reports, and their intentional breaches of SS rules? ​How likely is a court to rule that our children can or cannot be around Jane given this background? ​What immediate steps should K and I take to protect our legal standing while still offering safe contact between John and his children? Why？help

In the NEXON Capital Markets Briefing 2026 video around 1 hour and 20 minutes in (https://youtu.be/NOKOanvFpgE?t=4808&is=v1tTBb2WpJXFjofd), it was mentioned that as of this year Nexon's pixel art is being made using AI so that artists can spend their time on more creative tasks. However, it's unclear whether that means the actual design work is all done by humans with AI-powered algorithms just used to convert that to pixel art, or if actual generative AI is being used to make new assets without human creativity in the loop. I'm surprised not to hear more people talking about this I made a post in the #classic-suggestion-feedback channel of the official Discord to try to get an answer. Please go upvote it if it will make the difference for you on whether or not to support Classic. I know it will for me! But we can't get an answer unless we show them that it's important to us.

I've had 2 false starts with this game so my plan was to just "git gud" at the battle system so I can finally enjoy game. I was looking up tips and saw someone say you can use auto battle even for the playable character so I'm wondering if that could take me through even the more difficult battle? I hope not since it would make it feel more like a mobile afk game but it's still something I'm curious about.
