okay, obviously, if you’re not one for ocinsert fics, that’s okay, I’ll be writing an xreader fic soon and you can come find me again later haha **for those who are okay with ocinserts, this is why you should read my fic, Lily of the Valley (forgive me if any of these come off as unserious, life’s too short to be serious):** \- oc is NOT a firebender! (i see a lot of ocs who are firebenders for some reason, and i just thought it might make mine stand out a bit) \- oc is NOT sokka and katara’s sibling! (same as before, i see a lot of these?) \- oc is a waterbender, but mainly plantbender! (reason why is explained in the fic, dw it does fit canon rules and logic i made sure) \- it is complete/will be completed within the next 3-4 days! (the entire first book, which covers all of the canon atla seasons, and can be read as a standalone, is pretty much complete. sequel is undergoing development, but it’s not a must to read) \- heavy angst (which means entertaining, yay!) \- queer oc! \- fem oc x toph! (not sokka or zuko, not sure why those are so common either, although I see the vision) \- i am humorous (which means the dialogue will be humorous) \- oc has unique scenes/solo scenes! (Which means character development, and it’s not just a cardboard cutout character) \- authentic chinese person writing (therefore, no incorrect cultural representation) \- i worked very hard on this (3 months of oc development does not disappoint) \- very detailed character (like i said, 3 months of oc development!) \- NO AI GENERATED SLOP (i draw my own art unlike people using ai to generate their oc images, and i write my own work, ew ai boo) \- slow burn romance \- romance is subplot **You’d like this especially if you’re also in the following fandoms:** ALIEN STAGE (my main inspiration for characters, influenced my writing style past the point of no return, oc inspired by Sua) Demon Slayer/Kimetsu No Yaiba (i also wrote a kny fic, but that’s unrelated. Trauma inspired by this series!) ***Anyway, here’s the link:*** [https://www.wattpad.com/story/411605860-lily-of-the-valley-atla](https://www.wattpad.com/story/411605860-lily-of-the-valley-atla) **Blurb/description:** An ATLA+OC fanfic "And who am I, an imperfect design? Shackled by your desire." The jungle is alive, and it does not welcome strangers. There are rumors in the villages near the forest's edge. Travelers speak of paths that rearrange themselves, trees that block the way, and a figure in the dark-silent, blindfolded, there one moment and gone the next. Some call her a spirit. Some call her a witch. No one has gotten close enough to find out. Her name is Lian Hua. She's fourteen years old. And she's been hiding for four years. " 애초에 당신은 도망치고 있었을 뿐, 단 한 순간도 자신의 진짜 감정을 직면하지 않았지. 적당한 대의나 정의 같은 것에 매달리면 뭔가 해결되는 것 같았어? 돌아온 건 그 개죽음인 거야." When four strangers and two animals crash through her canopy, she means to drive them out. They're loud. They're reckless. One of them bends air, one bends stone, one bends water and the other none at all, and all of them are being hunted by something they won't explain. She should send them away. She should close the trees and be done with it. But they're children. Tired, terrified, far from home. Just like she was. So against every instinct, she lets them stay. She doesn't know yet that this decision will drag her out of the jungle and into a war and a world she's been avoiding. She doesn't know that the people she's letting in will ask questions she's spent years burying-about her eyes, her bending, and the family she left behind. And she doesn't know that some secrets won't stay buried, no matter how deep you plant them. " こうやって何度も口にしていれば、いつか本当になるんじゃないかって。そうやって、自分も周りも騙し通せるんじゃないかって。" \#1 on #ocinsert (18/7/2026) TW: Childhood trauma, bleeding, some violence, depression, anxiety and mental health themes, misogyny and bullying

I'm curious if anyone has pulled the trigger on any of the new Mac Studio setups? With the recent Keyshot updates to GPU mode for MacOS, will the Mac Studio Ultra put things on par with a PC / Nvidia setup? Trying to work out if it's worth the $$$.

Hi everyone. I’m here to ask for advice. I am the lead teacher in a toddler class, ages 16 months to 24 months. I have a little 20 month old boy in my class who I’m beginning to get concerned about. He’s a very sweet, smart, helpful kid. But when he is angry, he throws toys, hits and kicks, scratches and punches at other kids or my coteacher and myself. He’s slapped the glasses off of her multiple times. I understand that a lot of this is totally normal for this age, however it seems to be getting more intense. If he is told no, or we try to redirect him from something dangerous, he will go and hit another child. Anyone standing near by. More concerning, is that sometimes he is perfectly fine, just hanging out, and he’ll walk up to another kid and slap, scratch, or shove them. When I intervene and pull him away I have to carry him surfboard style otherwise he will hit or pinch me. We always pull him aside and explain that hitting isn’t nice. We don’t hit our friends. We use gentle hands, and if we are mad, we keep our hands to ourselves. If he starts throwing toys, I remove them from his vicinity explaining that I can’t let him throw toys, he may hurt his friends. Often he will hit us, and when told “no” or “that isn’t nice” he will start crying and immediately try to get us to pick him up or hug him. Usually we say no because we don’t want to hug someone who hits us. Is this the right response? I don’t like refusing affection to a child, but I don’t know how else to express that hitting makes people not want to play with you. His parents are aware and working on it at home, it happens there too with his siblings. It just seems to be getting worse instead of better, and I want to be able to help this kiddo to work out his emotions in a better way, and to learn to that hitting shouldn’t be his first option. I will also add that when we talk to him, we have him go say sorry and offer a hug to the child. Is this a good response as well? Thank you in advance, I’m open to criticism if I’m doing anything wrong. I just want to help my kiddo out. He’s sweet and kind when he’s regulated. He’s not a bad kid and I don’t wanna see him labeled as that.

What an annoying twat, making out like everything was against her like no love you just think you’re the big I am. Like Karen was right about the pastoral issue and she still went ahead and went against Karen and was shocked when she was right, talking the LEA guy(?) like Huh 😃

The writing wasn't a priority for this game, and I think that's good. They clearly had limited resources and focused them on the gameplay, and that was one hundred percent the right call to make for this project. The final product is great and Cold Symmetry deserves a congratulations. But jfc I hate these characters more every minute. Spoilers for some of the shells and the main premise of the game, I guess. An alien craft lands on this world, and the people strip mine it for parts, down to the eggs in the womb chamber. The literal bones of this creature reshape world's architecture, environment, and culture, and cults develop around worshipping the thing. When we start the game, we're entering a world that has been built on the ravaged and violated feminine form, rendered in this art style that evokes imagery Geiger and the themes of body horror, of sexuality as a prison, and *freaky alien shit* in his works and the works that draw on it, like Alien and Scorn. So do we explore *any* of these themes in the game? No absolutely not, it's a fetch quest. People sure remind you, constantly, that you're out there to collect "Ova", but change that to "power crystal" and nothing in this game changes. And Mether herself? An alien intellect, who's manipulated these people in this land into servitude, who's body has been plundered by these ants - what's she like? An evil, Machiavellian presence, who sees her servants as inconsequential specks? An alien, incomprehensible intellect, operating on a cosmic scale? Nah she's just a lady. Just talks normally, has a little bit of reverb but honestly not much. Is just nice to you. She reminds me of that old lotr game where they turned [shellob into a mother figure](https://gamingbolt.com/middle-earth-shadow-of-war-producers-try-to-explain-why-shelob-is-a-woman) because they thought gamers wouldn't accept a game with a woman who wasn't hot and calling them special. And the shells, oh my god these are all wretched. So you have a rage-filled berserker cannibal, a man who rips the beating hearts from still living men, whose greatest desire on earth is to devour the flesh of a god. Obviously, when we meet this man he will be *rescuing a child*. Or there's the Noble, a pampered aristocrat from the lands of Mammon, a man at the very top of a social order built on greed and corruption, who's body has swollen and grown soft from enjoying the finer things in life. Oh but don't worry though, he's one of the *good* ones. We won't be hearing anything mean about the poors from him. The disgraced knight? Yeah he's a good guy though. The Thief? Good guy. You are the alien force behind a fanatic cult in this metal album cover of a world, but by god you will not have any off-putting traits in any of your characters, that might just be too upsetting for players. (I'm gonna be so for real with you, I don't actually know that about the knight or thief; I could not be fucked to play their stories. I am confident that I'm right about them, though.) And then there's PROXIMA. Proxima is the ***fucking worst.*** This character design is so strong - her sexual attributes exaggerated until they're almost grotesque, and her faceplate blocks her eyes, literally reducing her entire identity to just a pair of porn lips. I was so hyped when I saw this design, I was so excited to find out why she looked like that. Had an alien species designed her based on some poorly-understood concept of human desire, to lure and confuse prey? Was she twisted reflection of man's desire, turned back on him in retribution? Was that body a torment, some hellish punishment, where no matter how many people she killed she'd still only be seen like that? Nah it's fuckin none of that. She's just a lady. What is that character design saying? Nothing. She's just a hot lady. Which would be *fine*. You're not going to believe me, but I *like* gooner bait. I think fetish art is cool, and there should be more of it! But she's not even that. You look at that design, you think okay, so she's sexually aggressive, a domme, probably sadistic, probably gonna be mixing a lot of murderous and sexual impulses - no absolutely not. There are Overwatch characters that I believe have more canon experience with BDSM than this woman. She's just a normal-ass lady, who's focused on her mission, and has a tough exterior but it kinda nice once you get to know her. There's literally not a single thing she says or does that convinces me that *that* woman put on *that* armor on purpose. How did we get here? Was it AI? I don't want to be doing the AI inquisition thing, but I don't know how else a human could have written these characters with this little sauce. Like literally, I *do not believe* that the team of people that came up with this premise, and these character designs, then turned around and said "and now we're going to write a story where all of these characters are unambiguously good, nice people with no rough edges." Okay I'm sorry I just ranted for ten thousand words or whatever, I just feel like I'm going insane and needed to say this somewhere. The game is good. *Please* hire writers for Mortal Shell 3, because this shit **suuuuuuucks**.

I recently received this box of Bolívar Coronas Gigantes from a private seller. The box code is **RPO MAR 02**. The cigars themselves actually look really good to me. They’re in great condition for the age, the wrappers look nice, and they smell amazing. Nothing about the smell immediately makes me think they’re fake. What has me questioning things is mostly the box/presentation. When I received it, one of the stickers that should have been on the box had already been removed, and the original paper inside appears to have been replaced with different paper. Also, the cigars seem to sit unusually tight/high inside the box. When all of them are in there, the lid doesn’t close completely—it feels like the cigars are pushing up against it. Around the nail/lid area, it just doesn’t seem to fit together the way I’d expect an original factory-packed box to fit. I’m also not experienced enough with early-2000s Bolívar bands to know whether anything about the bands, printing, embossing, spacing, colors, etc. looks wrong. I’ve attached close-ups of the cigars, bands, interior, box stamp, stickers and the way the lid sits. **For anyone familiar with vintage Cuban boxes, especially Bolívar from around 2002: do you see any actual red flags here?** Could this simply be a legitimate box that was opened/repacked or had the cigars removed and put back incorrectly, or does anything about the cigars/bands/box make you suspect counterfeits?

When I found out the kid who beat the shit outta me 30 years ago on the playground is a flambé and thus struggled mightily with his personal identity and took it out on me.

I have a 2 person keeper league, same round beyond the 10th and then it becomes the 10th. 10 team half ppr. Jsn(5) is the obvious one. My question is would you choose Skatt(10) Egbuka(7) or Burden(10) for the second keeper. We don’t reveal keepers or draft order until day of live draft.

The new spray and the scene in the comic

i lied on my resume that i worked/volunteered at my school (i do have experience in what i lied about but never had the job position) for a little bit under a year and just got accepted to do an interview with at a pretty big company so im worried if they can potentially trace it and see if i lied or not, in this hypothetical job i would not have received a W2 since i wasn’t getting paid and i listed down my school so i assume it would be harder to find the exact person who “hired” me. what will they do if they can’t track anyone down?

Trying to find my spot in this community

Unfortunately, in an appointment this morning with my psychiatrist, who coordinates care with my PCP, I was recommended to make an appointment with my PCP so that I can be referred to a pain management specialist. Now, I feel personally devastated that I have received this news about my fibromyalgia, as I have tried multiple different medications to help manage it, only for all of them to fail. As for my emotions, I don't feel frustrated about this, just resigned.

Welp my wife has finally demanded her Seiko back so I’ll be putting that fiddly bracelet back on. And for the first time I’ve purchased a new watch to pair with a strap. I don’t have a cushion case and I’ve been curious about this brand for a while, so here it is. I rather like it!

Chapter 6 of Not Like My Father released. Sorry that the fanfiction site is such a mess. I always post on there as well as Archive of our Own. This story is my view of what a Doc Martin movie could look like. Fanfiction: [https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14567751/6/Not-Like-My-Father](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14567751/6/Not-Like-My-Father) AO3: [https://archiveofourown.org/works/85141106/chapters/243508926](https://archiveofourown.org/works/85141106/chapters/243508926)

Hito Hito no mi, model mars. (No picture YET. Sorry) hybrid transformation-turns into a muscular almost giant like figure, with Haki infused armor fusing with their skin, (stronger than Haki, ryou needed to pierce). a blood red crest circling his head (almost like an awakening) (this ability is the awakened form, unlocked the moment the user awakens the fruit, almost like kaidos. Full transformation-the user turns into a full sized, 100 foot avatar of war, covered with almost indestructible bronze armor surrounding their whole body, with a cloud of bronze/copper colored cloud surrounding his neck, along with the red crest around their head. Full awakening needed, like the previous hybrid transformation. Regular abilities, unawakened-able to release a wave of pure despair, taking the will of anyone in its range and causing them to go into a ballistic frenzy, attacking anyone in range, unless using conquerors Haki to deflect c it. (Almost like a Ringwraith from lotr.) * bloodlust consummation-the ability to consume and turn bloodlust into a real object, eating it to gain strength, speed, and growing in size. * summoning-can "summon" or create weapons from the ground, like spikes and spears. * vanguard aegis-the ability (for a couple seconds, minutes at the most), to apply indestructible armor, only able to be pierced with advanced conquerors Haki, but attacks like fire, or logia attacks cannot affect it. Conquerors Haki coercion-if the user uses conquerors Haki, instead of knocking their enemies out, they can completely stop their enemies in pure terror, dread, and regret, keeping them still for longer than if they were to have been knocked out, until the user calls the effect off at their own will.

These are the tips that elevate a nice vacation, to a Signature Experience 1. Get on the water. Don't spend your entire vacation looking at that turquoise water from the beach. Charter a private boat, explore the smaller cays, snorkel, and find the spots most visitors never see. Contact Emily at 415-377-4080 and ask for The Signature Experience 🔥 2. Book a private chef, or a seriously good dinner. Chef Heidi Ho is magical! 3. Spend a day at the beach... differently. Skip the crowded setup and arrange a private beach experience with the right food, drinks, shade, and service. Your beach day should feel effortless. 4. Leave Grace Bay for a little while. Grace Bay is beautiful, but there's more to Turks & Caicos than the resort strip. Get out, explore, eat somewhere local, and see a different side of the islands. 5. Let someone who knows the island plan the details. The best experiences aren't always the ones that show up first on Google. Knowing who to call, what to book, what to skip, and how to put it all together can completely change your trip. Because Turks & Caicos isn't just somewhere you go..lt's somewhere you experience. And that's where The Signature Experience comes in 6 Book your Experience TODAY

Introducing S1

Begonia looking glass

A price is just a bookmaker's opinion with money on it. Each book sets its own, and they disagree more often than people think. That means the single easiest upgrade in betting has nothing to do with picking winners: check two or three books before you place anything. Same bet, same game - sometimes a meaningfully different payout. Loyalty to one app is the quietest way to leave money on the table. The smart charge on my charger will activate randomly some days and then decide to follow a random schedule that it created and I can't delete. Dynamic charging is off. I drive Uber and I need my car to be full the next morning. Support in Australia doesn't have a solution.

i just think the fact he has two amazing primary guns, two amazing secondaries, nitro cell or camera. and undeniably one of the most annoyingly good abilities in the game (if used right), and considering smg 11 just got buffed, i can see his pick rate going up even more than it already has.

Please use this monthly thread to discuss your portfolio, learn about others' portfolios, and help out users by giving constructive criticism. As usual, please don't just list the names of stocks (or ask 'what do you think'), try to elaborate with your thoughts on the companies or news. Writing the tickers in **bold** is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names. Please ensure you include the percentage each ticker takes up your portfolio. If you want more 'in-depth discussion', by all means, feel free to open up a new thread, this is merely to facilitate briefer 'chats'. This thread will post monthly at the end of each month, depending on user feedback we may make it quarterly.

When the recline adjustment is at position 1 (no recline full upright) it still reclines a little when I lean into it. Is that normal? Is it possible to not have the chair recline when full vertical?
