Hey, I get daily texts that read like this: Hi \[my name\]. Our team is in \[my town name\] for kitchen and bath remodeling projects. Want a quick quote? Sue It is from painters, roofing, masonry, roofline lighting, kitchen remodel, you name it. Always a "local" that happens to be in "my area." I mark them as spam and block them but persistent interruptions are annoying. My phone number is on federal registry for "Do not call." What do I do to make it stop? Are they scam? What the play? How do they do it? Should I screw with them or will acknowledging lead to them knowing I'm a real person.

I've been out for a decade or more. My family is still all TBM. The Church is reorganizing 2 of the local stakes and I'm laughing at all of them. "Well I don't want to be in THAT stake, they're cliquey" "We can't put 4 wards in 1 building! That's ridiculous, I might have to go at 3pm!" "If they put me in the other stake I'll just be beside myself. I don't want to travel to the other stakecenter." "Imagine if they split the stakes down your road and you can't go the church across the street!" I keep just telling them to go to whatever ward/stake/time/churchbuilding they want to go to. What is the church going to do, tell them to stop coming?? And you would not BELIEVE (or those in this sub probably would lol) how many of them look shocked and appalled that I would tell them to disobey. Like... They're so used to just mindlessly following that they can't imagine even the smallest disobedience. Also somewhat unrelated but a nevermo friend of mine asked why the church has so many multi-million dollar buildings that they only use for a few hours once a week and I have a whole new argument. "Of course you can fit 4 wards in that building! There are many hours in a Sunday"

I have a new website that I created for testing purposes. Currently, only a small number of pages are indexed by Google, but they are not ranked. Since it is new, naturally, search engines other than Bing do not know about it. When I searched using the brand name, I confirmed that GPT cited my new website, attached a link, and explained the content. It seems to operate based on Google Search. If it uses Google Search, it implies sharing search infrastructure with Gemini, which makes me wonder if it might fall behind in competitiveness.

So, using Claude code in a vscode terminal, for whatever reason the file name of the last file opened in the IDE will blink in blue at the bottom of the terminal. Blink blink blink blink blink it drives me nuts. Even worse it bounces the bottom of the terminal up and down. The only fix I’ve found is to disconnect via /ide , but I’d rather not. Yes I know there is a Claude extension but I prefer the terminal. Any know why it’s doing this and how I can stop it without disconnecting?

I’m honestly at my breaking point with Amazon Flex. Today I accepted a 4.5 hour block for $106. I knew it probably wouldn’t be worth it, but I was hoping to get lucky. Instead, they sent me to the other side of the metro area, and on top of that, I have to drive40 to 50 minutes just to get to the warehouse before every block, and none of that time or mileage is paid for. What was supposed to be a4.5-hour block turned into almost6 hours. I drove around150 miles during the route, spent $35 on gas, got home with almost an empty tank, and put another 150 miles of wear and tear on my own car. After paying for gas, I was left with about $71. That’s roughly $11 an hour before taxes, insurance, oil changes, tires, depreciation, and everything else. It honestly feels like I’m paying Amazon to deliver their packages. And the worst part is, I knew this block was probably going to be bad. I still took it because jobs are hard to find right now. I’m an engineer, but I haven’t been able to find stable work, so Flex is something I do just to pay the bills. Years ago, Flex actually felt worth doing. Now it feels like drivers are absorbing more and more of the costs while Amazon keeps cutting what it pays. My question is, why are people still doing Amazon Flex in 2026? Is there some strategy I’m missing, or are most of us just hanging on because there aren’t any better options?

My first week of college has started and I just don't feel the thrill that all my friends are feeling. I dont know if it the gaps between classes, or the teachers, or even the workload I dont like. It all just meh to me. And the students at the university just feel like a whole new vibe than what I use too. Any advice or shared experiences? I have a couple more weeks that allow me to drop and add classes, but i dont know im just not liking college.

19 year old man. I took him to the vet and this mass has changed drastically over the last few days (it's grown and was biopsied - it was originally benign). It's probably doubled over the last 2 months - I thought this was an abscess on top. Vet thinks it's how malignant. So we started him on Nsaids - at this point it helps the pain. It's probably about the size of a small potato under that red area. I was really surprised it wasn't an abscess. I think now I'm counting the minutes we are together rather than the years. Been seeing a lot of F2P players complaining that KONAMI is getting greedy and that the game is becoming unplayable against P2W players. I’m genuinely curious about this. P1 is my team, and P2 is my rank. So obviously, I’m not an F2P player. But I’ve spent a pretty minimal amount—around $50–60 a year, last time I checked. I think that’s basically nothing if you’re an adult who isn’t living in extreme poverty. In my city, that’s about two hours’ worth of work at minimum wage. Compared with other forms of entertainment, this is really, really cheap. Even just grabbing a bite to eat outside costs at least $20. **I’m posting this just to say that, at some point, skill matters much more than the cards. I reached rank 1230 while spending very little. My cards are obviously a lot weaker than those of heavy-spending players. But with a few key cards (G. Best, Messi, Rodri, Gullit), that’s enough for me to beat most of them.** BTW, I don’t really understand the motivation of F2P players—again, unless you’re in a situation where even a small amount of spending is difficult. If you’re already dedicating a lot of time to this game and enjoying it, why not spend a little money to enhance the experience—unless your time is really cheap?

Hello! I’m planning on getting a rosy in a couple of months, so I’ve been preparing its enclosure. I painted a background with non-toxic acrylic, but I’m having trouble finding a way to seal it safely. I’m looking for a clear sealer I could brush on. I’m getting a ton of mixed messages online, so any recommendations for sealers confirmed to be safe for reptiles would be much appreciated! I’m just very worried about accidentally harming my future snake. Thank you!

Hey I’m trying to make an early payment on my PayPal credit but I keep getting an error whenever I try to Is this a system issue?

Also yall hv any advice on how not to procastinate. Im seriously so doomed, i hv my alevel maths composite in 33 days and im starting now.

I know I know, people on here have asked this question for years. I’m looking to go from a 2 monitor setup to a single display. I have a Dell Pro 32 Plus 4K USB-C Hub Monitor P3225QE for work and a LG UltraGear 32" OLED Dual Mode 4K UHD 240Hz FHD 480Hz 32GS95UE-B.AUS for gaming. My desk is not that big snd it’s becoming an issue. And I sold my gaming PC because I wasn’t using it nearly enough. I use my ROG Xbox Ally X most of the time. I don’t want to use my LG OLED display for work since it doesn’t have USB-C to connect my work laptop or my MacBook Air M2, burn in is still a thing no matter what anyone says, and text clarity is not great on this OLED IMO. I’ve been looking at the TCL 32R84 and the LG evo GM9. Both are Mini LED. Just looking for advice. I’m open to just about anything. 27” is fine but I like 32”, I’m also open to a nice Ultrawide display.

I’m 29, autistic with general anxiety disorder, and currently a recreational cannabis user. I’m thinking of using cannabis throughout the day for my anxiety and executive dysfunction, and I’m wondering if the benefits of a med card are worth the money it takes to get the med card. It cost $50 to register for MMJ in Nevada, and $95 for NuggMD. As far as I’m aware, the only benefits of having the card is not getting charged recreational tax and being legally allowed to own/buy larger amounts of cannabis. I’m highly sensitive, so I don’t need a lot of cannabis; it took me 2-3 months to get through 1/8 of flower (dhv) recreationally. So I think the only benefit applicable to me would be not getting charged recreational tax. So, at $145 dollars to get the card (per year because I need to renew each year), is it worth it to save $48 (if I’m buying 1/8 at $40 per month) Honestly, I want the card for validation, I guess. So that if anyone ever questions me, I can tell them a doctor signed off.

I'm currently going through a Celestial Stones run. I've built very solid foundations during that run already (equipment, strength, useful resources), probably enough to make it to the end unscathed. However, I've failed to collect a celestial stone a few floors ago, because I accidentally fell through a trap door a tile or two away from said stone. My question is: is it necessary to collect all 12 stones within a single run? Or can I simply make it to the end with whatever stones I've managed to get (and keep), and then go collect the missing numbered stones during another run? I'd be easier just finishing this run and then completing the stone collection later on, and probably less time consuming because next time I'll probably lose a couple of stones again before making it to 99F. On the other hand, if the "collect all 12 stones" objective can only be achieved in one go, I'd rather just start back from scratch now.

I've flown internationally and never had any issues but now things seem very concerning. I am flying out of Atlanta and relocating out of US with several large bags and cabin bags. I've read my airline specifications but it's my understanding now TSA also has their even stricter rules. One of my bags will hold basic kitchen items and I'd like to bring one well secured, wrapped kitchen knife as well as many perfumes well wrapped. I'm worried they will rip apart my luggage and everything will be lost and they delay my bag? I'm very nervous about ALL my entire expensive wardrobe lost- I would just die!!! Also carry on's will they weigh everything because I must bring breakable items in my cabin case. Will they weigh my handbag? I've seen where the TSA rules change often and each airport does it differently. I'm afraid they'll scream and yell which is not necessary. I'm simply leaving the country. I don't know what to expect? My task trained service dog, that I sail and travel with recently passed so this is the first time I'm going in alone. I'm worried. Please advise. If I had time to just sail over that would be my peaceful option! Please advise. Good on ya!

I currently have a 14-week-old PWD. From about 8–11 weeks, she would bite nonstop like 25/6 . There were times I literally had to take my sweatshirt off because she wouldn’t let go of it, and she would go after ankles, arms… basically everything. Now, at 14 weeks, she really only gets bitey when she’s overtired or extremely excited and otherwise she’s totally fine. I honestly wouldn’t even consider the biting a problem anymore. For anyone who’s been through the puppy stage with a PWD: when they hit 5–6 months and start teething more, does the crazy bitey phase come back, or is it usually much more manageable by then?

You don’t have to be positive or brave every day, and you never have to pretend you’re okay when you’re not. This is a place to fight together. 🩷 💬 What Can We Talk About? Topics include: 💊 Treatment and side effects 🎯 HER2-targeted therapy 🧬 Hormone therapy ⚕️ Surgery and radiation 🧪 Clinical trials 🔬 Research and emerging treatments 📊 Pathology and staging 🔄 Recurrence and metastatic disease 🌱 Survivorship ❤️ The emotional and practical realities of cancer 🔬 Research Is Welcome Here We welcome discussions about new treatments, clinical trials, research, and emerging therapies.
