The last month for me. As you can tell, I miss Brian Wilson a lot.

I started getting yearly blood work about 3 years ago, and every year my HDL is low. Ranging from 33-37. Trying to figure out easy things to add to my diet to help . Some more info: - i am a smoker, but a light one. About 3-4 a day after my kids have gone to bed. Obviously quitting is best for my overall health, but as far as my HDL im not convinced that its the culprit. The reason being is, the first time my HDL tested low, i was pregnant and hadn't smoked in months since before i became pregnant. -i am active, which is another way to help but im already doing that. I workout generally 4-5 times a week, mix of cardio and strength via my peleton. - my diet is ok, not horrible but probably not the cleanest. I am on zepbound currently, current weight is 137. I do eat roasted veggies (with olive oil) with my lunch multiple times a week so I am getting some healthy fats. Maybe just not enough. - I don't drink alcohol or do drugs at all. Been sober for over a decade. (I've heard alcohol can lower it) Im trying not to spiral but my grandfather died from heart problems in his 50s so in trying to address it since 3 years in a row i can no longer pretend its a fluke lol. So as far as my diet- im not sure whats a enough to make a difference. Should I jsut eat an avocado a day? I dont know lol. Any input or advice would be appreciated

Hello. I have a quick question that may be a bit stupid. I’m originally from Florida and obtained my license there and my original BLS and ACLS certifications in Florida. However, now I live in Ohio and am renewing my certifications. My question is how much should an ACLS renewal cost? I’m on the AHA website and it’s saying I need to pay for the Elearning and register with the facility for the skills. The eLearning comes to about $170 and the skills is $250. This doesn’t sound right, so I think I’m looking at something wrong. How have others gone about renewing their ACLS? Thank you for any help you can offer. Stronger than Hercules but more emotionally effective than Roland. A true legend that ends in nothing…. I instantly hopped off that game. Man - it has a funny way of you playing perfectly for it to just ruin your Iron Man playthrough. Anyone else have similar experiences? It was still a great and fun time haha

I've been reading Webtoons since 2017. I have finally gotten to the point where I have both the time and resources to begin working on my own digital comic and Webtoon was the only place I wanted to post. Just as I was excited to begin this journey that I have looked forward to for so long, creators I follow began leaving the app left and right, their comics going on hiatus until further notice. Disappointed, but respecting their decision(s), I continued working in hopes to participate in the Webtoon contest. I couldn’t make the requirements, but I posted my first two episodes anyway, determined that I am not defined by a contest and maybe eventually I can curate my own audience with enough time. Then the app updated and the entire UI changed. Readers and independent creators alike are leaving Webtoon in droves, and with a consumer base this dissatisfied I am anticipating the entire dismantling of the company in a few years. I have exclusively ONLY used Webtoon for comics. As a reader, I tried Tappytoon once and did not like the interface. A lot of my favorite ones to read are Webtoon Originals so I'm pretty much stuck until they're released in print and/or concluded as a whole. **As a new comic creator, I have no idea what other alternatives I have that are realistic and similar to Webtoon's Canvas** (vertical scroll, free to upload and easy to find for people who want to read). So, I (39, DOR) just finished my 2nd ER on Saturday and this time I'm going for embryos. I didn't have great results, only getting 3 eggs each cycle. So far 3 have fertilized. I'm disappointed in my numbers but staying hopeful. I decided to calculate how much money I've spent so far for my 3 fertilized eggs. This includes fees for 2 different clinics, medications, and the vitamins and supplements I've been taking since 2024 in preparation. It also includes donor sperm, shipping fees, transport fees for both facilities, etc. I have yet to tally up co-pay costs, as those were fairly minimal. My total: $44,856.04. That's insane! Growing up I already had horrible anxiety, as far back as I can even remember. But even back then, when I was like 6 years old and freaking out because I got picked up from school 12 minutes late, I still had a way to manage it and bring myself back from the anxiety attack. Being in constant pain and discomfort feels like I've lost every way of managing that anxiety. It's around every turn and the worst thing about it is that I can't fight it anymore. It's hard to talk myself down from a panic attack of "my heart is going to give out" when despite knowing full well that my heart is strong and has no problems, my heart is still palpitating, I'm still sweating, and my entire body is going through wave after wave of pain. I feel like I'm spending every moment of my day anxious as all hell, like I'm constantly on the verge of just keeling over and dying. Even the people I trust the most don't feel like safe spaces anymore. I accidentally popped my back a couple minutes ago, I was in a game with a few friends, and the moment my back popped it was like I was instantly in a different situation. A hostile one, where if I didn't sit down to recover I would simply die. A stupid moment of pain changing my entire night. It's like my existing anxiety got promoted into something more monstrous. I genuinely don't know if I can live like this, and my doctor doesn't seem to want to help. I'm already feeling better from the back-popping pain flare up and such and I'm still an anxious mess.

it’s my first outbreak and it hurts to sit, walk, literally just to exist. i luckily just so happen have four days off of work starting tomorrow, so im hoping my outbreak starts healing. i’m on day five of antivirals and the outbreak has only gotten worse and more painful. with that being said, are there any tips you guys have for me on how to function??? i feel like literally all i can do is just lay on the couch, everything else hurts too much even with the lidocaine cream i was prescribed.

I’m currently 5 months into what has been a nightmare of a kitchen renovation and these porcelain countertops were just installed today. They attempted to install them last week but they were incorrectly fabricated so they had to take them out and send them back to the shop to “fix” them. This included cutting off the mitered aprons and re-attaching them. When they went to re-install them today I noticed these terrible mitered edges immediately. Clearly they had to cut them apart and a significant amount of the porcelain got cut off in the process and they used extra adhesive to put them back together. My question is whether or not this is going to impact the structural integrity of the edges. In my mind it seems impossible that this wouldn’t impact the durability of the porcelain. The fabricator claims it won’t but I am very skeptical to believe him (or my contractor) as there have been other egregious oversights that they’re trying to avoid responsibility for.

I was just wondering if I should apply to United even though I'm not 21 yet. I turn 21 on the 8th and I have my passport application appointment on the 9th. I don't know how long it takes to get it, but seeing the application for Southwest open and close so quickly just has me in a panic, I guess. I really want this but I don't want to start off on the wrong foot by lying about my age and passport status. I really want to work for Southwest but applying for United wouldn't hurt, right? It first had a filling a year ago. It wasn't deep, but according to my new dentist it got badly done, hence why the tooth became sensitive to cold ever since. My dentist re-done the filling 2 months ago, and told me that it would make the sensitivity go away. However, it's been 2 months and it hasn't, or maybe only some 20% better. I've also been using Sensodyne paste for these 2 months. According to your experience as a dentist (or even patient), can this tooth still get better, or will it inevitably degenerate into irreversible pulpitis if I don't do RCT? My dentist recently done the cold test, and since it only hurt for 2 seconds, said the pulp was still vital and there was no reason do RCT. But I mean... can this teeth ever get better? PS: What's the usual time scale for progression into irreversible pulpitis? I had another tooth where after 5 years (after a deep filling that left the tooth sensitive), the pulp was no longer vital according to the cold test, but it still didn't hurt? is this a common time frame? And does it usually progress slowly so I can catch it on time, or can it be sudden?

I'm Lost!

My company is quietly announcing its second (known) layoff of the year tomorrow. I’ve been with this company for years and have witnessed three large-scale layoffs and three small-scale layoffs in the past year. They’re keeping the layoffs very quiet and quick because the company is looking to be public in the next year or so and doesn’t want to rock the boat. The last layoff was in the last week of November, and they gave the small group of employees until February. The next layoff was announced about a month and a half after the previous one commenced, and they gave them 13 days. The one tomorrow is anticipated to be quite significant and will impact a few different business units in my side of the organization once again. This time, they’ll have a month. Part of our layoffs seem to be strategic due to development, while the other part is trying to meet our bottom line with many clients struggling to expand their portfolios or with roles that no longer meet business needs, or so they think. Of course, some people are being laid off due to poor performance, but some are being laid off because they made a lot of noise about previous impact or the incompetency of the new working models. In my department, I’m growing increasingly concerned because there’s no clear direction. We have new leadership, so we don’t know who is truly making those decisions because they haven’t had time to get to know the organization or the impacts made. In fact, there are often questions about projects that were previously completed and moved offshore. Decisions are made without realizing who truly matters at the company, especially here. I’m not sure if I’m on the chopping block, but the people I know about are very talented. It’s personal for some of them. Our offshore counterparts perform based on production rather than quality of work, and it’s starting to dissatisfy all of our clients, which will further impact us. With the pressing need for improved work quality, one would expect a QA team or onshore associates to assist. However, they’ve eliminated most of them and are planning to continue doing so, which ultimately leads to client loss. I’m not optimistic about the company’s future because I’ll take the first opportunity to leave. I hope I’m the one choosing to leave. Once I find a new role, would it be unethical to disclose some company information and practices publicly? Considering their recent actions, I’m not sure if I’d even give a two-week notice. I’m currently interviewing solely to get out. That’s been my strategy all year. If I accept an offer, they want me to start within three weeks. Would it be reasonable to trade places with someone being laid off? I wouldn’t mind the severance under these circumstances.

I recently posted on a career thread, but after reading some of the comments, I realized I wasn’t clear about what I actually need. I’m feeling anxious and overwhelmed trying to figure out my next steps. I’m in my early thirties and I’m a teacher. While I love parts of teaching, there’s no real room for financial or professional growth unless you leave the classroom entirely, and I want a career where I can keep growing. I know I want a job with upward mobility, better financial potential, and work that doesn’t leave me emotionally exhausted. But I don’t know what my options are or where my skills might fit. I’m not sure if leaving teaching would actually solve my problems or if the issues are internal and would follow me anywhere. I’m burned out and struggling to tell if I want to switch careers for healthy reasons or just because I’m desperate for change. That’s why I’m wondering if working with a career counselor would help. I’m not looking for a career coach who helps with resumes and interviews once you know where you’re headed. I’m looking for someone who can help me sort through my burnout, explore career paths, and figure out whether switching fields would actually help. My questions are: Has anyone here worked with a career counselor who helps with both career decisions and the emotional side of things? How did you find them? Was it worth the time and money? Are there any assessments or tools you’d recommend for figuring out what careers might fit me? How do you move forward when you know the qualities you want in a job but not what careers exist that offer them? I’m just trying to calm my anxiety enough to see a clear path forward. I'm especially worried about the construction thats right next to bevel and the unit I am looking at faces the construction directly. That and the ton of negative reviews on bevel are the only things holding me back since bevel is a lot bigger space than aura and the unit for aura that I am looking at also faces the construction but its on a higher floor and is farther away.

I started on league a few months ago and made the mistake of jumping straight into ranked with no clue of what I’m doing and sitting in I4 for 100 games. Now that Iv actually learned the game basics and champ basics I’m falling into a loop where I can climb upto I2 then straight back down to I4, my lobbies this past week seem cursed I don’t know if it’s MMR but I’m now getting into lobbies where it’s a bronze 2 sett top vs iron 4 nasus and sett completely takes over the game. Each game seems like a coin flip over who gets the bronze team mates and who gets the iron beginners. Is this what people mean by Elo hell? Where you’ve stagnated in an Elo for a while then when trying to climb you’ve got a shitshow of player rankings. Not sure if it’s MMR related but majority of my games recently seem to be blue side

This Ticket was created today June 30th . I'm not sure they understand how the whole ticketing system works we can't read your mind and not sure who they have been asking. If you don't put the ticket in we don't know it's broke. This user has been told multiple times that all IT requests require 1 ticket to be filled out per request and especially when you're asking for three new laptops for your staff to replace the 1-year-old laptops your staff already have.
