Back in January of 2021, I 20F (5'7, 145lbs) caught something that took me out for a whole week and a half. I had coughs, pains, a fever, and couldn't keep food down. My local doctor refused to test people for COVID-19, as she said "Everyone needs to catch it, it's like a cold" I lived out in the country, and not a lot of doctors take my insurance. (We have military-given insurance) So I have no clue if it was COVID-19. Since then, I have had bronchitis several times, and currently have it now. This course of bronchitis was caused by a cold that lasted two days. Is there something I can do to stop getting bronchitis? I'm tired of feeling like I can't breathe all the time. It's as if there's constant pressure on my lungs, even if I'm not sick, but doctors all say I should be fine. I don't smoke, but I grew up with my whole family smoking indoors. I work with kids, so I can't avoid colds/flu, as we all know kids are Petri dishes. Any help or suggestions?

I have an old pair of Birkenstocks that are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. I remember buying them and wearing them straight out of the shop with no issue. My mum generously bought me a new pair (my old pair are looking a bit sad, and were to be downgraded to garden shoes) but I’ve now had them a year and a half and I can’t seem to break them in! Maybe someone can enlighten me about this. It’s a bit of an innocent question but also a bit of a rant. I’m a new player (400 hours and been playing less than a year) so I don’t know if the community has PTSD about this or something. I was running a series of public Zeus zombie missions today. Somebody joined halfway through one of the missions, saw one single zombie and then raged in the chat saying “Oh piss off. Zombies? Gen up” and then left. Thing is, I’d normally just put it down to one guy having an entitled princess whiny bitch meltdown and leave it at that. But this has happened a couple of times now. I usually put quite a bit of effort into my missions, with a backstory that I’ve thought about, nice compositions that I’ve spent hours making, and a progression of how the story unfolds. I think my missions are top quality personally, so i don’t think people rage due to bad mission making. Ironic thing is i left my own server shortly after, and joined another server where this princess was themselves the zeus. It was total chaos with like 5 A-10’s and a messy map with information and obsolete markers all over the place and the Zeus was just having a piss around in a Shikra themselves rather than controlling the flow of the mission. No immersion or anything but that proved to me that this guy didn’t know shit despite thinking they hold a high view of Zeus missions. TL;DR To sum up why do some people hate zombies? If it’s just narcissistic elitism on a milsim game then that makes sense, can’t stop those people from crowding around such games

Our vet recommended euthanasia. He’s my first dog and I’m scared I adopted my dog about three years ago. He’s a rescued street dog. We knew right away that he had a heart murmur but it was under control. A few months after getting him, he started having seizures. We found an amazing vet who helped us find the right medication and stabilize him. He was doing amazing for a year, and then after a trip to visit family, we came home and I just knew something was wrong. The hospital told us 3 - 6 months. That was 2.5 years ago. He’s had some issues in the past where we thought it was the end, but the vet never recommended euthanasia and he’s always healed and went back to being himself. Last month, though, we found out the medications that helped his heart and epilepsy started effecting his kidney. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. My fiancé went abroad to visit her family in her home country. Both dogs stopped eating. I thought this was because of change of routine, and made them special food, which they both would eat. Eventually, nothing worked. When she got home, my boy started making a decline. We’re on day 4 of him not eating on his own, but he was still drinking water, and mostly acting like himself. We went to the vet today and noticed a change in him. No longer barking about going outside, no barking at other dogs, still not eating. We get there and the vet gasped. She’s the same vet that’s helped us keep him alive all this time. He went from 6,9kg to 5,8kg in about a month. This was the first time she ever said the words euthanasia. Logically, I know this is the most humane choice for him, but I can’t shake the “what if” thoughts and feelings. I’m heartbroken for us but also his best friend (our other dog). He’s my first dog. My first pet. He saved me from some really bad shit. And I’m so scared I’m failing him.

I woke up one day this July and took a deep breath (didn't feel like I have shortness of breath or anything just felt like I had to take a deep breath), then I had a panic attack all day worried I had sleep apnea. I haven't really slept the same since. Went to the doctor and he said there was no indication of me having sleep apnea and said I was fine and suggested switching anxiety meds. I didn't switch meds I was fine for a little bit but would still wake up a lot mostly in the morning a few times and get hard breathing dreams maybe like twice a month (since July) It stopped for a bit and then I finally decided to switch my meds into the beginning of September and this week my horrible sleep is back again even worse than before. It has been everyday since Sunday I wake up 4-5 times a night usually starting around 5/6am. This Tuesday my Fitbit caught me waking up 9 times and it freaked me out. My fitbit catches my bpm getting into the 90s when I wake up and slowing down when I am officially awake unless I panic. (Afib tracker is on) Im so confused I'm convinced I have sleep apnea but I don't really have any symptoms. Recorded myself sleeping a few times and skim through it and I have no indication of me stopping breathing. Some important notes about my routine: -I don't snore. very quiet -I do have bad nasal congestion (allergies?) -I don't move a lot in my sleep -rarely wake up with headaches -mild/moderate fatigue, I am usually pretty sleepy if I'm sitting still but awake when out and about -I am currently unemployed so I'm on my computer all day and night, possible factor? (Been on my computer my whole life though so I doubt it) -eat late , around 8/9pm but go to bed around 2-3am, wake up around 11am-1pm -stress is high, always googling things and always worried about health especially recently Most of the time my REM is off the charts (I get crazy dreams a lot lol) and deep sleep is normal. I'm starting to take the 5mg melatonin but maybe I need 10? I ordered a at home sleep study to clear my nerves but I am going on vacation for a week so I'll have to wait a week or so and I'm just slowly going crazy with my sleep and I'm scared it's going to ruin my vacation. I just want to sleep normally again. Could this really be anxiety? Or something else? Anything to help relieve myself for the time being? Pls and thank you

I 29M broke up with my girlfriend yesterday. I guess I lost the feeling of love for some time now and wanted to end things before but she was so much under stress lately due to her masters thesis and I just didn't want to put any more pain and stress into her life. We were in a long distance realtionship but we'd see each other often. I moved to another country last year but I was visiting her all the time since I lived with a flatmate in the beginning. Then half a year ago I git my own very nice appt and she would come here and spend weeks here since with her masters she was working from home so it was easy for us. Anyway I've been thinking about us very often and one part of me somehow wanted to break up but the other part of me didn't. I have become very depressed and have my phases based on a day, sometimes very happy and active, sometimes don't even want to get up in the morning. She wanted me to move in with her, a company where she is working as a student now, offered her a nice full time position after she's done with the masters and moving would mean for me a new start. I already started again so many times and right now I like it where I am. I love the appartment, I'm happy with my job, city I live in since there is so many activities I enjoy... So since she is in a dorm she has to move out by the end of the year as she is done with masters and clock is ticking. Her bday is coming soon and she started to plan a vacation and wanted us to go somewhere to celebrate that and her masters. I am feeling really down lately, can't sleep, constantly tired and so many thoughts on my mind. I started to plan to go to vacation with her but I didn't want to be an asshole and keep dragging and pretending everything was fine and then break up in the end of our vacation. So to get out of the situation, I broke up yesterday over a video call. Few days before she gives her masters and 10 days before her bday. She is the most kind, amazing person I've ever met. She's an angel. And I was the biggest asshole there is on this planet to break up like that. I broke her heart. She has a marriage behind and she told me that she needed some time and years passed to get trust in someone again and I ruined that completely. She deserved so much better, at least to break up in person. Few years ago I was so down and I almost took my life, right now I wish I could take the time back and do it then. I broke her heart and the other part of me that loved her dearly also got heartbroken. I am in so much pain since yesterday that I can't eat and I threw up three times.
